Introduction

Inflammation is theultimate lurking killer. It is the villain behind wrinkles, behind interiorpainbehind every great disease in the shadow at the end of the road.

And yet, inflammation ismeant to be the ultimate healer. The inflammation sectors of ones body aremeant to heal, to beat back against pathogens and clear the veins, the braincells, and the exterior skin cells of any intruders.

Like so many things, however, inflammation has become rampant. Because of the fast-paced, ever-goingmentality of the human race, stress is continually on the horizon. Toxins andpollutants from the ever-spouting coal and plastic plants lurk in the air readyto rush into ones lungs and take up cell residence. Allergensthose nastyfellows in foods and flowersare ready to beat back against humanity in theforms of constant sneezes and itches. And poor diet is the consistentbenefactor of inflammation. It causes digestive inflammation; it causes braincell inflammation. The digestive tract scrapes what minerals it can from thefoods one digests; and yet, what it has to offer the body is lacking. We becometired; we simmer with inflammation. We never feel quite right.

The diet and, essentially, the minerals, proteins and carbohydrates we receive from our diet are thebuilding blocks of our interior. If we challenge our diet and make appropriatechanges; if we begin to choose the proper fuel for survival, we can truly reversethe effects of inflammation. We can beat back against future attacks.Essentially, we can live free from the realm of an interior, constant war.

Understand the verybasicbut incredibly beneficial changes we must make in our everyday diet plan.Engage in the vibrant energy waiting in every morsel of food. And tossinflammation to the winds. When we take holdgrab life by the reignsourinterior and exterior are completely at one. Our brain is in tune with ourdigestive system; our liver is revving; our muscles and heart are pumping.Allow the body to beat like the amazing machine it is. Sweep through life armedwith the Inflammation Diet. Life will never be the same.

Chapter 1: What isInflammation?

T he body is a constantarmor. It is fighting a continual battle to remove irritating stimuli, toreduce sickness, to heal. And as a result, the body pulses withinflammationthis ultimate defense of self-protection. Inflammation is thedefinitive result of the battle within. The bodys ability to heal isstaggering; the body must work through countless pathogens, countless germs. Its interior weaponry is vast.

Therefore, the bodysinflammation symptoms are not infections. This is a common misconception. Theyare, instead, the bodys response to infection. They are the bodys attempt tobring proper fluids and assistance to a pivotal area. And this worksimpressively well providing the body has a correct environment in which tocreate a proper healing power.

Unfortunately, continualinflammationthe bodys inability to heal correctly leading to furtherinflammationis the ultimate human killer.

If the body is functioningin an unhealthy environment, one consisting of things that further irritateinflammation, inflammation can fall off course and become chronic. The bodysability to heal must play over and over again. And this continual inflammationprovides an inadequate lifestyleone that can lead to continual sickness, fatigue, and, ultimately, untimely death. As a result, chronic inflammation isthe cause of ultimately every bodily disease. It is something that must bedealt with on a very cellular level in order to maintain proper health.

Initial inflammationusually comes in several, uncomfortable forms: swelling, loss of bodilyfunction, heat, pain, and redness. These symptoms form via the bodys vasculartissues ramping to bring increased blood flow to the wound or diseased area. How, precisely, does this proper inflammation process work?

Stages of Inflammation and theHealing Process

The body must work to healitself via the steps involved with the inflammation process:

Step 1: The initial damage occursvia injury or infection. Obviously, injury is more of an exterior injury whileinfection lurks in forms of pathogens on the interior organs.

Step2: Thebody senses this tissue damage. It releases vasodilators and chemotacticsensors like histamine that alert the rest of the body to the attack.

Step3: Therelease of chemotactic factors forces increased capillary permeability andblood flow. Blood rushes to the damaged area.

Step4: Phagocytes are released to the area via the increased blood flow. Thesephagocytes work to heal the body and beat back against pathogens.

Step5: Surrounding serum proteins and phagocytes work together to destroy the bacteriaand heal the damaged tissue.

Step 6: Inflammation calms, andthe body returns to normal.

Differentiation Between Acuteand Chronic Inflammation

Acute Inflammation: Acute inflammationinvolves the bodys prompt response to pathogens. This results in a push ofplasma and leukocytes to the injured area via the bloodstream. Acuteinflammation has multiple characteristics: pain, heat, redness, swelling, andloss of bodily function.

The acute inflammationsinitial redness and heat spawns from the push of blood flow to the site ofinfection. Because this fluid builds in the area, swelling occurs. The painoccurs after antibodies release specific chemicals in order to attack theinfections pathogens. These chemicals fuss with nerve endings, forcing thebody to understand the pain.

Note: Acute inflammationscomplete five symptoms rear up only in relation to exterior organslike woundson skin. Unfortunately, interior organs do not always release all fivesymptoms. This causes occasional confusion and lack of correct proceedings onthe part of the individual. Incorrect proceedingssuch as eating foodsincorrect for reducing inflammationcan irritate the infection further, causingcontinued inflammation. Very often, this continued lack of proper environmentcan lead to chronic inflammation. For example, if your intestines are inflamed, you cannot always view the swelling and the redness from the outside. Therefore, you may assume that this simple stomach ache will end in a few hours. You mayassume that following along with daily schedules, eating daily foods will befine. However, you can severely alter acute inflammation if you do not providea proper, anti-inflammatory environment for your digestive tract. Thisalteration can lead to chronic inflammation.
