I finished the book, Mum, so I can come and visit now!
Author's Acknowledgments
I couldnt have produced this book without the support of my family, friends, and colleagues. Thank you, Kelley, for being so tolerant during this long project, and to Moog for, well, being Moog!
Massive thanks to Matt Wagner at Fresh Books for approaching me with this title, and for working hard to keep the paperwork prim and proper!
Id like to thank the team at Wiley for turning a pipe-dream into a reality. Thank you to Susan Christophersen and Katie Feltman for helping to keep the wheels on this project when they felt as though they might fall off it was a bumpy ride, but the end result has made it seem worthwhile. Id also like to thank Melanie Nelson, who allowed me to see through the eyes of a nontechnical reader and helped me to simplify some of the complicated subject matter covered in this book.
Thanks to everyone at Adobe who offered me tools, equipment, support, and insight. Adobe really does love its developers!

W elcome to Flash Mobile Application Development For Dummies. This book will take you from knowing very little about mobile applications to having your own applications running on iPhone, iPod, and Android devices all built with Flash.
Youve made two good decisions: First, you bought my book nice one! Second, youve opted to build your mobile application using Flash. You will not only find this a pleasant experience but also discover a way of building an app for all those devices in the time it would take you to build an app for just one of them, had you chosen to do it without Flash.
