Technology evolutes and even more rapidly. In my role as the Head of Corporate Functions IT, what I see today is remotely comparable to I witnessed during my college days at NIT Surathkal or even at IIM Calcutta. Whilst the basic tenets of whats and whys remain the same, its more of how part we continue to address in our current technology days. The current of today is the past of tomorrow. Thus, is the speed and unpredictability of any emerging technology.

Technology begets technology; even after more than two decades of my stint in IT, theres always anticipation of whats next. When Patajanli approached me to write the foreword for this book, I enthusiastically said yes as the topic and its relevance, is immense.

Whilst his first book Machine Learning for Decision Makers focused on the usage of an emerging tech, this book goes deeper into the underlying of data and its processing. The intricate topics, in this book, are woven seamlessly into an elegant fabric of Quantum computing, starting with the basics and giving the reader a detailed insight of its applications. The principles of Quantum physics are adeptly entrenched into computing space, evolving into various Quantum computing technologies.

This book is for anyone who is keen to pursue Quantum as a stream of choice. The language is basic for a wider reach and all the jargons one needs to dwell into, in its simplified format.

In the near future, I will hardly be surprised, if it becomes the obvious way-forward for all technology implementations. Especially, in an era of burgeoning data and its many avatars. So, get on to a world of Quantum computing.
