Acknowledgments

No one writes a book alone. While my name may be on the cover as the author, a small army of people has been responsible for reviewing every word and image that appears in this book, just like the other editions before it. Sincere thanks go to the fine folks at Sybex, who worked hard arranging for the book you now hold in your hands to come into existence. My special thanks also go to everyone who has been involved in this book and has supported me in this endeavor.

Thanks to my agent at Waterside Publications, Carole McClendon, who always finds the right projects for me at the right time.

Thanks also go to Jeff Kellum, who first introduced me to this series way back when it was called Street Smarts.

Kudos to development editor Amy Breguet for being able to see all of the little details in my writing that needed fixing. Thanks to Niall McCarthy, who was the technical reviewer and kept me on the straight and narrow. Also thanks to copy editor Linda Recktenwald and production editor Eric Charbonneau.

I have also depended again on the gang over at CertForums.co.uk for letting me bounce ideas off their collective heads and presenting some of the puzzles and solutions that added flavor to this book.

Finally, thanks to my wife, Lin, who graciously let me spend incalculable hours in my lair writing this second edition when I should have been mowing the lawn or playing with my grandson.
