We imagined this book coming out during a lively and exciting time for Milwaukee, when the city was bursting with festivals and events (including a very large national convention). Instead, we completed this guide knowing that it would be received by a different audience, one turned more inward than out. We now hope our words and photos encourage people to get out and explore our resilient city in new and safer ways.
