A CKNOWLEDGEMENTS

This book exists because of the men and women who have imparted knowledge to me and who have supported me in every phase of my life. Some of these individuals are family and close friends. Others I have encountered through reading, watching, and listening. They have lifted my knowledge level and allowed me to see more clearly how the world works. I hope to continue this journey for many years to come.

Then there is another source of knowledge, which man has encountered for as long as there has been time in the hourglass of our existence. Some of the insights in this book and in past endeavors have come to me from that source. The premise of how the Founding Fathers could return and how they were protected is such an insight. I cannot specifically identify this source, but only be eternally grateful that it has touched me.

My gratitude for support must start with my family. My wife, Christine R. Burke, my children Cherie, Amanda, David and Raychel, are constant support mechanisms who allow me the time to complete a project such as this. And I must also reflect on the man who first helped me learn to hone my writing skills, the late William H. Burke, Esq. A brilliant Harvard educated attorney and published author, my uncle was a patient, down to earth, honest man whose leadership set me in the right direction. I am forever thankful and deeply indebted to all of this family support and encouragement.

Additional help came from many individuals, who actually appear as characters or have character traits featured this book. They include, The Shadow, Tim the pilot... and many others who were kind enough to offer parts of their lives for me to reframe and manifest in this novel. Several confidants read and helped proofread the manuscript, including Dave Herwig, Bob Shegda, Dennis Gauthier and especially James M. Hawley, who went above and beyond, not only reading it meticulously, but offering many helpful corrections and suggestions.

A major player, Josephine Greenwald did so much to help this book come to fruition. She has been by my side as editor, confidant and sounding board. Her endless hours of reading, editing and suggesting improvements, made this book possible. Jo, a self-proclaimed bleeding-heart liberal, found herself editing a book with philosophies in conflict with her own. She offered invaluable feedback to ensure that the message imbedded into this story is one to which everyone might be receptive. For this and for her loyal friendship over these years, I am eternally grateful.

I would also sincerely like to thank my father, Raymond G. Burke, who gave me a chance to start a business when I was just twenty-four. No one else would have given me such an opportunity. Also the late Arden June, the first person to introduce me to a lifestyle of reading and listening to audios of great people in order to continuously improve myself. Although he has passed, he instilled habits that live on in my life, without which I would not have met presidents and governors and others who so impact our world.

Life is best when its various aspects are in balance. I have been blessed with extreme health. For much of this I must thank the many trainers I have had in a variety of martial arts, including but not limited to Guy; Grand Master Chae T. Goh, founder of the Dragon Gym; Gary Pobocik; and the many individuals I trained with over the years. I thank you and hope you enjoy some of the moves in this book.

Finally, I give thanks to the Higher Power to whom I prayed for insight as to how the men who founded our great nation were protected and how the source of that protection could now return to aid the current patriots working to save it. I believe I received the answers I sought, and I feel blessed to have been allowed to create this exhilarating and thrilling novel, Return of The Founding Fathers Guardians .

P ROLOGUE

In the 1700s, a small group of men fought the tyranny that gripped their colonies. Their well-documented exploits formed the United States of America.

Today, a small group of men and women are fed up with the oppression that grips this once great country. These patriots are determined to set the nation back on course. To do this, they must fight against the two most powerful forces on earth: the corrupt government of the United States of America, and those who run some of the largest organizations on earth. This small group is determined to reestablish integrity in our government and businesses and restore a good quality of life to the righteous people of the United States.

Their mission is to bring fairness, truth and hope to mankind by reestablishing the original principles that once guided our government and society. But the battle has just begun, and the evil forces controlling our government and businesses are larger and more sophisticated than man has ever known. If these patriots accomplish their mission, America will be positioned for a true economic recovery and they will use this as a platform to spread their philosophy to the rest of the world.

To achieve this, our team must fight a heart pounding modern day war. The corrupt forces will stop at nothing to end this explosive, philosophical resurgence. To them it is a revolution, and desperate not to lose control of the middle class, they are positioned to take extreme measures.

On the side of righteousness, this small team of patriots is more cunning and battle-savvy than any force the corrupt government and big business have yet encountered.

What could it be that is coming to their aid as they battle the deadliest and most powerful forces on the planet in the quest to take over the United States government and restore its virtue?

In the end, we find that these chosen few have each received aid from the same archangels sent by God to protect the original Founding Fathers. Little do the corrupt forces know that an earthly judgment awaits them!

ONE

JULY 9, 1755

I n the wilderness of western Pennsylvania, just outside modern day Pittsburgh, the Monongahela River flows south as it winds its way through the Allegheny Mountains. Along the shore, in the heat of this July day, a deadly battle rages in the French and Indian War.

A twenty-three year old rider, his brown hair wind-whipped behind his ears, races a horse back and forth across the front of the firing lines. The young man moves lightly atop his mount, the horse appearing to be an extension of himself. His solid six foot two inch body is in rhythm with the stallion.

The blue-gray sky matches his eyes which remain fixed with unwavering purpose. He stares straight ahead, then glances briefly at the men at his side as he shouts orders. When he wills his voice over the sound of gunfire, the only strain on his two-hundred-pound body can be seen in his neck and strong jaw line. This young lieutenant-colonel is the last of the officers. He is organizing his men for a retreat.
