News during the first monthsof 1993 was dominated by the standoff at Waco - photo 2

News during the first monthsof 1993 was dominated by the standoff at Waco, Texas between agroup of religious zealots, the Branch Davidians, and the U.S.Government.

The Dravidians leader, David Koresh, [hed changed his name from Vernon Wayne Howell toDavid Koresh, with Koresh being the Hebrew word forprophet] preached that the end of theworld was at hand and that his followers should prepare foronly-the-prophet-knows-what, leading to their stockpiling food, andthe guns and ammunition to protect that cache. This attracted theattention of the Alcohol Tobacco & Firearms bunch who suspectedthat they, just might, have stashed away a few illegal weapons.

ATF obtained a searchwarrantknocked on the doorbullets started flyingpeople starteddyingand there were lots of phone calls home saying the agentswere going to be late for dinner.

Quickly realizing they were in over their heads, the ATF team asked the recently appointed [ 3/11/93] Attorney General Janet Reno, for help, and she sent in the FBIwhich didnt do any better. They in turn, asked for the TexasNational Guard, which showed up with armored vehicles. Well, timewent by and the stand off went on week after week: Five weeks, six, seven, finally they all had had enough and decided to end thesituation the old-fashioned waywith brute force.

The Branch Dravidiancompound consisted of a collection of building running on a roughlyeast / west axis, and on standoff day 52, armored vehicle of theTexas National Guard punched holes in both ends of the buildingsallowing the 35 or so mile-per-hour prairie winds to stream throughthe buildings: Then, on the upwind side of the buildings, theyinjected tear gas.

Now, tear gas comes in manyvarieties and all are solids that must be dissolved in somethingbefore they can be sprayed as an aerosol. The gas they chose wasthe noxious CS, made even more dangerous when the solvent theychose to dissolve it in was ethyl acetate, a liquid as flammable asgasoline.

After injecting this mixinto the building long enough to killeveryone inside , they slipped an armoredvehicle behind the building out of sight ofthe TV cameras and reporters , and set thebuilding ablaze using a burst of 50 caliber machine gun fire withits four-foot muzzle blast of flame doing the dirty deed. And ifyou have any doubts about this, watch the DVD, WACO: The Rules of Engagement, byClive Doyle, where footage of the buildings being set ablaze is shown as shotfrom a helicopter flying immediately over the site at thetime.

Because the very air hadbeen made flammable by the solvent, and thebuildings were made of wood, the strong prairie wind spread thefire such that the entire complex was ablaze from end to end inseconds.

The standoff was over andthats the way the media reported it: 55 adults and 28 childrenwere dead and that was it. Well, I have a question: Whats the goodold-fashioned word we use to describe those murdering innocent men, women and children? How about, psychopaths . You see, when people areslaughtered wholesale and not one of these victims hadever been charged with a crime ; not one had been indicted for anything; and YOU tell ME what a baby in diapers couldpossibly do that could justify their being gassed andcremated? But the real question is: Whydidnt we scream bloody murder about it? How could they get awaywith murdering people right in front of our eyes while we juststood around mute letting them get away with it? The answer issimple: They lied. And because weve been brainwashed intobelieving the FBI can do no wrong, no news outlet thought to checktheir story. The Feds told us the Branch Davidians had set thefire themselves andwe accepted their fablethat theythe spotless FBIwas innocent ofany involvement in the deaths of all those innocents.Bull!

Our problem is that, as aspecies were dumb as a brick, and unless were told to think andwhat to think about, few of us think at all. And the groups thatshould have brought this to our attention, the media and clergy, were hiding under their desks because one of the first thingspeople going into those business learn is that the FBI is avicious bunch of bastards that will crucify anyone discussing theircrimes, and theyve committed just about every one in the book andhave been doing so from their beginning. I take it, it was imageslike this that inspired the psychopaths lament:

Wasnt that the excuseHeinrich Himmlers SS used to justify this type of behavior - photo 3

Wasnt that the excuseHeinrich Himmlers SS used to justify this type of behavior - photo 4

Wasnt that the excuseHeinrich Himmlers SS used to justify this type of behavior duringthe Nazi era? That THEY made US do THAT to THEM? And were you to ask our moralguardians why they didnt raise holy hell about it, wouldnt theyweasel out of answering with something like, well, they wereshooting at our guys, what were they supposed to do? My answer isa simple thought experiment: Suppose youre in a bankrobbers burstina silent alarm is triggeredthe police arrive and bullets startflying. Now, you tell me, how long would you be in there beforesending out a note saying: OK, thats it! Weve had enough! Justgas us and set the damned place on fire to get it overwith!

And should you consider thisa one-time-only event, youd be wrong. In fact, it was an improvedversion of something theyd screwed up the year before.

Believing a man named RandyWeaver might beselling illegally modified weapons, Federal Agents began [8/21/92] scouted theIdaho forest surrounding the Weaver home for a place to ambush him. They met Randys teenage son, Samuel, and his friend in the woodsand engaged them in a firefight in which Samuel was killed.
