Rnd 1 (RS): With really red, make slip ring(see illustration), work 8 sc in ring, join(see Pattern Notes) in beg sc. (8 sc)

Rnd 1: With cloudy day, ch 6, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each of next 3 chs, 7 hdc in last ch, working on opposite side of foundation ch, sc in each of next 4 chs, join in beg sc. (15 sts)

Rnd 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in first st, sc in each of next 5 sts, 2 hdc in each of next 3 sts, sc in each of next 5 sts, 2 sc in next st, join in beg sc. (20 sts)

Rnd 3: Ch 1, sl st in each st around, turn.

Rnd 4: Working on WS, ch 1, sc in each of first 7 sts, hdc in each of next 6 sts, sc in each of next 7 sts, join in beg sc. (20 sts)

Rnd 5: Ch 1, sc in each of first 7 sts, [hdc dec(see Stitch Guide) in next 2 sts] 3 times, sc in each of next 7 sts, join in beg sc. (17 sts)

Fasten off, leaving 6-inch tail to sew Shoe to front of Body between rnds 715. Stuff Shoes while sewing to Body.

Cut several 10-inch strands of white. Fold yarn in half, having a U-shaped bend on 1 side and 2 tails on other side. Insert hook in a lp (see photo) and catch bend in beard piece. Pull bend through lp. Pull tails through bend and then pull tails. Rep to cover area around Nose. Separate yarn fibers and straighten them with a hair straightener or an iron. Trim beard to desired length.

Make 2.

Rnd 1: With blush, make slip ring, work 6 sc in ring, join in beg sc. (6 sc)

Rnd 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in each sc around, join in beg sc. (12 sc)

Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in each sc, join in beg sc.

Rnd 4: Ch 1, sc in each of first 2 sc, sc dec in next 2 sc, [sc in each of next 2 sc, sc dec in next 2 sc] around, changing to really red in last st, join in beg sc. (9 sc)

Rnds 59: Rep rnd 3.

Rnd 10: Ch 1, sc in each of first 7 sc, sc dec in next 2 sc, join in beg sc. (8 sc) Stuff Arm lightly.

Fasten off, leaving 6-inch tail to sew Arms to Body. Sew to sides of Body between rnds 1822.

Rnd 1: With really red, make slip ring, work 4 sc in ring, join in beg sc. (4 sc)

Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, join in beg sc. (6 sc)

Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in each sc around, changing to white in last sc, join in beg sc.
