A State of Evil is derived from the authors non-fiction book, The Princess Diana Conspiracy, by making constant reference to the facts. It reflects the damming evidence revealed by the author of what happened on the 31st August 1997 in Paris. Where certain names or places cannot be stated, for whatever reason, the author uses creative reasoning. It must, therefore, be considered a work of fiction.

The author uses his rights in British democracy to freely air his honest opinions and truly held beliefs. He also claims rights of qualified privilege under rules of English Law.

A NOTE OF GRATITUDE

I wish to thank my Editor, Demi Price, for her enthusiasm and encouragement during the re-emergence of this manuscript that was largely due to her; it had been hidden away for years gathering dust. Demis cajoling finally made me realise that perhaps the people would appreciate an insight into how this evil act unfolded; whilst the Nation slept.

ELEGY FOR A MURDERED PRINCESS

Cold Hecates wanderings in the night

Have put the wings of light to flight

Darkness reigns throughout the globe

Pervading lives; despairing souls

We sought the truth, till now in vain

Embraced the anguish and disdain

Lamenting angels hid their face

Lost in sadness, bereft of grace

Pale, grey men hide dispensing lies

All love, truth and light despise

Yet truth is not contained by sword

It lights the path to our dear Lord

The slain now seek our justice, dare!

To invoke the beast within his lair

We need to fight and standing tall

Pursue the truth; hope not to fall

And trust God will one day decree

That all who love the light must flee

From evil gathered in the hall

Of those who hear hells darkest call

Let angels gather, trumpets sound

The day is ours; vile truth is found

Reviled grey men no more shall win,

The world now knows; let hope begin

Alan Power

PREFACE

I thought all you good souls might like to know the provenance of A State of Evil. It is a story narrated through the eyes and perspective of MI6 (the British Security Services). They were responsible for the planning of Dianas murder but also felt they had a justifiable stance.

The book was first written almost in tandem with my other work on this subject that is non-fiction; The Princess Diana Conspiracy. There was interest for both works from publishers in New York; some letters I still have on file , all from 2006. But there was no interest from UK Publishers.

The heavily researched non-fiction part, The Princess Diana Conspiracy, had an exciting beginning but quickly became unavailable due to MI6 criminal intervention . The whole combined book was conceived of, and begun, in November 2003; A State of Evil was created by reverse engineering facts taken from The Princess Diana Conspiracy. I constantly referenced back to ensure the facts stayed on track with the truth whilst writing. But you must consider A State of Evil a work of fiction, because some facts, people and places, are abstractly conceived to remain legal and complete the story.

MI6 showed great interest in The Princess Diana Conspiracy (Perhaps they will like A State of Evil too). Amidst much MI6 activity, I found Patrick Condon, an officer from MI6/GCHQ/Computer section, sitting next to me on a plane from England to the Isle of Man, just before The Princess Diana Conspiracys first release. He was very pleasant but told me, We will have a problem with your book. It didnt occur then, but I later realized he had just confirmed he had broken the law. It is illegal for intelligence agencies/police to interrogate private communications; it is an abuse of ones civil liberties (my book at that point had not been published). An attempt was made to legalize this practice in late 2014 but it was justifiably rejected by Parliament. Why bother with a law; they do it anyway? Patrick actually wished me luck.

I believe Patrick was trying to establish whether I knew about the errors he had placed in my book to reduce my credibility because clearly, if I did, I would have halted my books release, corrected all errors and delayed publication. It would have then been pointless for MI6 to publish other lies about me (via a conman) because their interposed errors would have been removed; unfortunately, I didnt know. When a book is passed to the typesetters, the author doesnt see it again until its on the market.

All MI6 errors placed in The Princess Diana Conspiracy were corrected in the eBook by mid-November and hardcopy by February 2014 but you still couldnt buy the corrected hardcover on Amazon US or UK during all of 2014. Problems were placed in my way until I was forced to contact the CEO of Amazon, Jeff Bezos. Matters improved but there are still problems. This followed on behind unmarked khaki helicopters hovering near to my house and a gentleman walking down my drive who had already followed me on the ferry from the Isle of Man to England; two more were in in his car. Intimidation was normal before, and after, my books release.

Do not believe that freedom of speech is permitted in the British Isles nor that censorship doesnt exist. I have endured nothing but censorship for eighteen months; they dont want you to read THE PRINCESS DIANA CONSPIRACY. My answer to them is A STATE OF EVIL.

Although we must demand justice and an end to MI6 being the personal police force of the monarchy, also remember that transparency is now much harder to suppress. The peoples justice will no longer be silenced. The monarchy must either come clean or face the consequences. The nation needs to see Prince William standing in front of TV cameras, telling the nation the truth; I believe that this is the monarchys last chance of salvation.

I doubt, in our democracy, that I shall sell A State of Evil unhindered either but to courageous souls who understand my purpose, I say this. Continue to face down the beast and be of stout heart. The truth will out; they cant kill, or bankrupt, us all just to preserve one family. I demand the heads of those that perverted the course of the peoples justice and committed, or endorsed, this vile and treasonous act.

I commend A State of Evil to all decent MI6 officers; I am sure they will find it most unsettling. They purport to serve the people so I say to them; help to establish the peoples democracy and end this evil.

WHITEHALL

John Brooke climbed his office steps and passed through the main door of this large London riverside building. He walked along the brightly lit ground floor corridor, took the lift to the first floor and peered around his office door, bidding his secretary good morning.
