Have you ever been in a store or mall and seen acoin funnel? If you wait there for just a few minutes you will seepasserby's dropping some change in to watch it spin down into thefunnel, especially if they have small children with them. You'veprobably dropped some change in there yourself.

Have you ever wondered how much one of thosemakes in a month? Well, depending on location a coin funnel canpotentially make $200.00-$800.00 a month, and in very goodlocations much more than that.

$200.00 a month does not seem like much at all,but if you factor in that funnels do not cost anything to operate,take up very little room and work all hours of the day for you,then $200 for doing nothing is a pretty good deal. The funnel is an attraction that will reapsubstantial revenue for the owner for many years. People play itagain and again, with the cost of play determined only by the loosecoins in their pockets.

In special situations, funnels generate over$100 a day if they are located properly near high traffic areas andhave excellent exposure. Currently Ionly have 4 funnels placed, all 2ft-3ft models bought fromSpinitforward LLC for $1995.00. I have one in a mall, one in aFamily Entertainment Center, one in my own pizza shop and one in mychurch.

Mall Location - This particular locationwas very hard to get. It took many months of emails, phone callsand meetings with the malls representative to convince him to letme put a funnel in, and to give me a fair price on rent. I have aclaw machine in the same mall that takes up less square footagethan the coin funnel and I pay $750.00/month for that. It took alot of negotiating, but I got him down to $50.00/month. I had toconvince him that making $50.00 a month was better than makingnothing. I had to scout a spot in the mall that was not being usedby anything else, did not have high potential for anything else tobe placed because of lack of power outlets nearby, or its generalsoundings. I also had to show him various researches from funnelmanufacturers showing that in a good month I could possible make$800.00 but more likely I would make closer to $100.00, so $750.00a month for rent was way too high. I did not tell him though that Iwas fairly confident I would actually be making $300.00-$800.00 amonth. In the end he agreed to $50.00/month, and there have been noissues at all.

Family Entertainment Center - There is alocal FEC in my area owned by a young woman that I sometimes bringmy nieces and nephews to. I know that kids love the funnels, andthat a place full of kids would be one of the best places for one.She had a perfect location right as you walk in. I bought a 2fttunnel so that it did not take up much room or get in the way.

I negotiated $25.00/month in rent, paid in cash.I was able to get that deal because I showed her a webpage thatsells funnels ridiculously expensive, and that if I were to placeone in her FEC I would need low rent. I did not tell her that I buythem form elsewhere for much cheaper. She agreed to $25.00 cash. Itis no hassle for her, it takes up minimal room and she gets extraspending money every month to do with as she wants.

My Store - My pizza shop is located in astrip mall. I try to get as much passive income into my store as Ican without making it seem cluttered or tacky. I have 2 arcadegames for high school students that leave school for lunch; I havea claw machine, 2 ski ball games, and a bulk candy vending machine.Little kids are too small for the arcade games, and parents oftentimes do not let their kids get candy from the bulk machine, so Iwanted to find something else that could occupy kids while theywaited. I came across the funnels and decided to buy one; it wasactually my first placement. Parents do not mind giving theirchildren a few coins to shoot down the funnel. It keeps themoccupied while they wait.

My Church - The one in my church is morefor charity than income, but I do take 20% of what comes in and Iam able to write off the rest that I give to the church. It isplaced right in the main foyer so the congregation passes everytime they enter.

Average Monthly Income

Mall: $550.00 (summer months are slower, but thewinter months around Christmas more than make up for it)

FEC: $200.00

Pizza Store: $100.00

Church: $120.00 x.20 = $24.00

Subtotal: $$874.00

Minus rent: -$75.00

Total: $799.00

So, on average, I make $799.00 per month. Thatis $9588.00 per year. It only took me 8 months of having themplaced to pay off all 4, after those 8 months everything wasprofit.
