Front post double crochet decrease (fpdc dec): Holding back last lp of each st on hook, fpdc around each st indicated, yo, pull through all lps on hook.

Row 1 (WS): Now working in rows, sc in each of first 14 [16, 16] sc, 14 [16, 18, 18] sc, leaving rem sts unworked, turn.

Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.

Row 3: Ch 1, sc in each st across, leaving last st unworked, turn. (13 [15, 15] sc, 13 [15, 17, 17] sc)

Next rows: Rep row 3 until 6 [8, 8] sts, 6 [6, 10, 10] sts rem, ending with RS row.

Row 1 (WS): Ch 1, sc in each st across, sc in first sk st 2 rows below on side of Heel, sl st in end of next row, turn. (7 [9, 9]sc, 7 [7, 11, 11] sc)

Row 2: Sk first sl st, sc in each sc across, sc in sk st 2 rows below on side of Heel, sl st in end of next row, turn. (8 [10, 10] sc, 8 [8, 12, 12]sc)

Next rows: Rep row 2 until there are 14 [16, 16] sc, 14 [16, 18, 18] sc around Heel.

Rnd 1: Now working in rnds, sc in each st around Heel and Foot, maintaining pattern and working sl st in gap at each side of Heel and Foot. (27 [31, 35]sc, 29 [31, 35, 37] sc)

Next rnds: Sk all sl sts, work in pattern until Leg measures 4 inches, ending in line with left side of Heel for left Boot and in line with right side of Heel for right Foot. At end of last rnd, join(see Pattern Notes) in beg sc. Fasten off.

Row 1 (RS): Now working in rows with size G hook, join with sc in last st, sc in each st across, do not join, turn. Drop yarn.

Row 2: Join separate strand of yarn to first st of row 1, ch 5 (flap). Fasten off. Pick up dropped lp at other end, ch 1, sc in each st and each ch across, turn.

Row 3: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.

Row 4: Ch 1, sc in each st across to last 5 sts, ch 3, sk next 3 sts (buttonhole), sc in each of last 2 sts, turn.

Row 5: Ch 1, sc in each of first 2 sts, 3 sc in next ch sp, sc in each rem st across, turn.

Rows 6 & 7: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.

Rows 8 & 9: Rep rows 4 and 5.

Rows 10 & 11: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn. At end of last row, fasten off.

Row 1 (RS): With size G hook, join with sc in first st, sc in each st across, turn.
