Izinhlobo Zezinyoka

Iintlobo zeeNyoka

Most snakes are harmless to humans. Many snakes help to control pests on farms and in gardens. Some snakes use venom (poison) to kill their food. The venom of some snakes is strong enough to kill a child or an adult. Not all snakes produce venom, but they can still give a very painful bite. Venom is injected through special teeth, called fangs, which may be at the back or front of the mouth. Adders (vipers) have very long fangs that are hinged and fold back into the roof of the mouth when not in use.
