- He did however attend Christian Church every week when he was growing up.
- David and wife Victorias current wealth is estimated to be around $200m.

- David holds 115 caps for England at senior level - second only to goalie Peter Shilton.
- His debut for England was in a 1998 world cup qualifier against Moldova.

Victoria
- Victoria was a member of revolutionary girl group the Spice Girls.
- She was known as posh spice.
- David first saw Victoria when she was clad in a black PVC catsuit in the Spice Girls video for Say Youll be there.
- Right there and then, he said to team mate Gary Neville that she was the woman he wanted, and that they would be together forever.
- David proposed to Victoria with a three-carat diamond ring worth $65,000
- Victoria responded by giving him an $80,000 engagement band!
- They got married at Luttrellstown Castle in Ireland.
- For their 13 th wedding anniversary, Davids present to his wife was a self-written love book. Ahhhhh!
- David also booked a $27m Malibu mansion for the celebrations - at a rent of $160,000 per month!
- David and Victorias home in Hertfordshire is known to many as Beckingham Palace.
Manchester United
- At the age of 12, David was a mascot for Manchester United against West Ham.
- Davids original shirt number at Man U was 10, however he changed to his now famous number 7 when Eric Cantona left the club.
- During his time there, the club won the Premier league no less than six times.
- They also won the FA Cup twice, and the Champions League in spectacular last-minute fashion in 1999.
- His league debut for Man U was on 2 nd April 1995 - earlier than expected as many senior players were injured.
- He did however play for the first team in 1992, as a substitute against Brighton in the league cup.
- He also made his Champions League debut in 1994 - and actually scored a goal against Galatasaray!
- David was a member of the team in the 1998/9 season that uniquely won the treble - Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League.
- It is said that the end was near for Davids career at United when at half-time during an FA Cup game against Arsenal, manager Alex Ferguson kicked a boot at Beckhams head, leaving a cut which required stitches.
- He finally moved to Real Madrid for a fee of 25m.
Records and Awards
- David holds the record for the most assists at World Cup and European championships - 11 in total.
- Davids most famous goal - from the half-way line against Wimbledon in the 1996/7 season - is considered by many to be the greatest Premier League goal of all time.
- David was runner up for world footballer of the year twice - in 2000 and 2001.
- David was the first player for England to score in three different world cups.
- He was won a league championship at all three clubs hes been a permanent player - Manchester United, Real Madrid and LA Galaxy.
- In 2004, David was the worlds highest-paid footballer.
