- Harry was born on 15 th September 1984.
- This makes him a Virgo.
- Virgos are traditionally shy - perhaps this news didnt reach Harry when he was growing up...
- Harry was born at St Marys Hospital in London
- His full name is Henry Charles Albert David Windsor.
- At the time of writing, Harry is third in line to the throne.
- Harrys brother, Prince William is second in line to the throne.
- Harrys father, Prince Charles is - of course - first in line to the throne.
- Harrys mother, Diana, sadly died in a car accident in 1997.
- He was baptised at St Georges Chapel at Windsor Castle.
Education
- Harrys first school was Jane Mynors Nursery.
- After there, Harry attended Wetherby School in London.
- Ludgrove was next on the list, a prep school in Berkshire.
- Finally, Harry attended world famous Eton College - a break from tradition, as previous generations of his family had attended Gordonstoun School instead.
- It normally costs 30,000 a year (thats around $48,000) to send your child to Eton.
- Harry achieved a B in art and a D in geography at A Level.
- It was claimed that Harry cheated his way to his B in Art, with teachers helping him as he was such a poor pupil.
- He had by this point dropped out of another subject, History of Art.
- At School, Harry was well known for being a keen sportsman - excelling in both polo and rugby.
- A teacher at Eton was sacked when she secretly taped Prince Harry - but later won an employment tribunal.
Military Career
- Rather than attend university, Harry enrolled at Sandhurst Military College.
- His first day there was on the 8 th May 2005.
- Initially, it was announced that Harry would serve on the front line in Iraq.
- Harry said: Theres no way Im going to put myself through Sandhurst and then sit on my arse back home while my boys are out fighting for their country.
- The government overruled this though, and Harry did not go to Iraq in the end.
- However, Harry did serve for 77 days as a tank commander on the front line of the Afghan War - until a paper published the information.
- In October 2008, Harry decided to learn to fly military helicopters.
- He was successful at this, and in May 2010 he was presented with his wings - by his father Prince Charles.
- In April 2011, Harry was awarded his Apache training badge.
- Harry has currently reached the rank of Captain.

Princess Diana
- Harry was just 12 when his mother died.
- Harrys father, Prince Charles, waited until the morning to inform his sons of their mothers tragic death.
- At the time, Harry was staying at Balmoral Castle.
- Harry joined his brother, father, grandfather and uncle in walking behind the funeral cortege.
- The cortege proceeded from Kensington Palace to Westminster Abbey.
- Harry - understandably - burst into tears halfway through Elton Johns performance of Candle in the Wind at Dianas funeral.
- Diana was just 36 when she died.
- Diana had divorced Prince Charles in 1996.
- It is said that Harry found his mothers death much more difficult to deal with than his brother William did.
- According to Royal sources, in the years following the tragic incident, Harry would go instantly from happy go lucky to breaking down in tears.
Hobbies and Interests
- Harry spent his gap year doing charity work in Australia and Lesotho.
- Harrys parents wanted him to have a different experience growing up to previous royal princes - with this in mind, they took him to places including Disney World and McDonalds.
- Harry enjoys sport, and is a keen skier, as well as taking part in motocross.
- In 2004, Harry trained as a rugby development officer, and volunteered in schools across the country.
- When he was relatively young, Harry developed an interest in riding and hunting.
- Harry has said that the two occasions he met the Spice Girls were the best days of his life!
- He has a peaceful, contemplative side - he has a love of botany, and enjoys studying flowers.

- In April 2012, Harry used his army training to help an unconscious player who had fallen from his horse.
- In July 2012, Harry strangely cut ties with the Chakravarty Cup (a famous polo fixture) with no explanation. Mysterious!
