So just what is going on with the academics anyway? Isnt it obvious by now that people prior to Columbus visited the Americas? And have for millennia? Why cant historians, anthropologists, archaeologists, linguists, and other disciplines see the obvious voluminous evidence of this? As maddening as this is, one has to fight the urge simply to dismiss the naysayers. We need to look deeper and realize theres more going on here. Is it mere protection of the status quo? Of traditional beliefs? Is it politically motivated or is there a religious component in play?

In the past, when science couldnt back up what archaeologists found, perhaps it made sense to move with extreme caution. But science has matured. What lay in the realm of speculation before has become fact today as geology and other sciences date artifacts with so much more certainty. Yet some still stubbornly refuse to accept the obvious hard science. My advice to those is to get up to date with science. The world is ready, eager for the truth.

There are a multitude of reasons why academia has essentially blown it and continues to get it wrong when it comes to the truth about the pre-Columbian history of this continent. This has long been the case, but I thought the words of the accomplished author and mystic, Manley P. Hall (1901 to 1990) that he wrote during the turbulent and rapidly changing post-World War II era in 1951 summed up the situation well:

Modern scholars have accepted, without proper reflection, a fabrication of lies fashioned to deceive and to prevent the recognition of facts detrimental, even dangerous, to the ulterior motives of powerful interests. Time will reveal that the continent now known as America was actually discovered and, to a considerable degree, explored more than a thousand years before the beginning of the Christian era. The true story was in the keeping of the Mystery Schools, and passed from them to the Secret Societies of the medieval world. The Esoteric Orders of Europe, Asia, and the Near East were in at least irregular communications with the priesthoods of the more advanced Amerindian nations. Plans for the development of the Western hemisphere were formulated in Alexandria, Mecca, Delhi, and Lhasa long before most European Statesmen were aware of the great Utopian program.

The time has now come to bring these facts to the surface, no matter how startling they might to be, no matter how they rock the beliefs of many mainstream scholars. New evidencenew scienceis changing everything weve come to understand and believe about our history in North America, about history in general. In this book I plan to reexamine previous research and update old issues with new findings.

Besides the problems of academia and traditional beliefs, what else could be raising the ire of the people who are so opposed to the idea of early cultures coming to North America prior to Columbus? Im convinced one of the biggest issues is what the truth might mean for the worlds religions. The evidence presented in this book reveals an old story that has caused major tremors in the Catholic faith most notably in the last decade with books like the DaVinci Code, which, though fiction, set off dozens of other books refuting the ideas in that book. The reason it caused such concern is because the story has profound elements of truth. Many believe the followers of Jesus and his true teachings, and his bloodline descendants continued to be persecuted long after his death, and the one refuge where they knew they would be safe was in the secret land across the Atlantic.

The artifacts and sites examined and explored here reveal a hidden chapter of North America history whose time has come to be revealed. They reveal not only the story of the people who came to this continent, but also stories of the people they encountered here. It has long been known that Native Americans have oral stories, myths, and legends about these early visitors. Despite the tragic history Native Americans endured, we will explore the possibility that they still have knowledge of those early contacts to this day.

One of the encouraging things that should give people hope is that, unlike the past when new discoveries and scientific advances occurred but sometimes took decades for that information to make it into the publics consciousness, times are changing. This snails pace transfer of new information has suddenly been given a rocket boost by the advent of the Internet and the introduction of other scientific endeavors (like the mitochondrial DNA studies) that have sparked new interest in how humans moved around the planet, and, that controversial issue, when. The truth about pre-Columbian contact in the Americas is already spreading virtually instantaneously and will continue to do so.

I also believe that massive cultural changes around the world will happen rapidly, especially with other new technologieslike the Ipods and cell phonesproliferating. These devices are opening up the world in places, such as even the relatively closed cultures in the Middle East.

The world is changing, and the speed of that change is escalating. As we entered a new age of the zodiacal calendar on the symbolic day of December 21, 2012, this represents a time of great change and of great opportunity. I believe the work contained in this book, my previous works, and the work of many others who have struggled to get the truth out are important and must be heard. The true history of our world and of the worlds religions is of vital importance. While this is just my take on what likely happened, it probably is very close to the truth.

In any case, with over seven billion people on the planet and counting, now is probably a good time to reflect on change. Most people would probably say we need to change the way we as a species are conducting our overall business on earth or we arent going to make it. I believe before we can go forward into the future, we have to know where weve been. This book will attempt to tell some of the stories of where we have already been.

In keeping with the format of the first Hooked X book, I will begin with presenting several tidbits of new information and discoveries relating to the Kensington Rune Stone.
