CONTENTS

I often feel as if I have lived two separate lives. One in the physical, where I learned how to live in my humanity, and the other in the metaphysical, where I lived in the afterward of all that I had learned, thus allowing for the evolution of my spirit. Enclosed in the chapters of this book are the stories of my lifea life I viewed and watched play out with great passion and sentiment. The chapters are distinctive in their perspective of my early years of life, when it seemed that I saw life in a black-and-white cascade of events. Based on my strict Catholic upbringing, there was a right way and a wrong way to conduct myself. As I matured and grew into the woman I am today, I saw lifes events were not all black and white, but that they had many gray areas of choice mixed with twists of fate, a little bit of luck, and some grace as well. My lifes work also had an added touch of blue, signifying my years serving as a law enforcement professional, which gave a new dimension to my observations of life and its purpose.

This book is also a love story of sorts. It is not the conventional type that you may be familiar with reading. It is, however, my rendition of all of my affairs of the heart that have touched my life and etched themselves into my memory. These chapters provide a look at the inner sanctum of all of the various loves in my life. Each is individually defined, respected, and valued for the lessons I learned about myself and others. Despite the good, the bad, or the ugly of the relationships, each of these persons is to be credited with helping me to become a better person and for enriching my life. They are responsible for my ability to see that we must live with the love we have been givenbecause love is a blessing in any form. We must cherish each moment with those we love, for time passes by all too quickly. And we must learn to hold all of the memories of loved ones close to our hearts.
