DAY 1 ORIENTATION DAY
WELCOME TO YOUR FIRST DAY AT BOOT CAMP!
If its weight you want to lose, youve come to the right place. Thats the purpose of my Boot Camp, and the reason you and I are together. You are guaranteed to lose weight if you do what I tell you. As long as you follow exactly what I say, to the letter, you will succeed. And it will be easy and simple.
My Boot Camp gets results with weight loss. Millions of people around the world have witnessed firsthand on the telly how my overweight clients have lost enormous amounts of excess weight using my Boot Camp method.
But my philosophy is such that I dont want you fixated on your actual weight. As I always say, Weight is not so important, but your health is everything. Therefore there is no need to concentrate on losing weight or gaining weight: aim instead to eat healthily, and the weight will take care of itself.
I am here to tell you that its time to take back the reins of your body and life. You have more power within you than you probably realize to make a positive shift in your overall health, never mind just your weight.
BOOT CAMP PHILOSOPHY
My Boot Camp is a fullon, focused way of making positive changes. It lasts a short time, just 14 days, but has longterm results.
An important note: this is not to be confused with a crash diet. Crash diets ask you to adopt bad food habits in order to get very temporary results. My Boot Camp demands you adopt good food and lifestyle habits. And the results are anything but temporary.
My Boot Camp has been tried and tested on my own clients. I know it gets results and I want to pass those on to you. The words Boot Camp might sound daunting, but by committing yourself for 14 days, the habits will become ingrained and easy to follow for the next few weeks and for the rest of your life. It gives you a foundation for healthy, happy living. Who wouldnt want that?
GETTING STARTED
You might think I am asking you to do a lot on this first day, but today we set the stage for the whole of my Boot Camp. It does get easier, and you will see and feel the changes in your body rapidly. So please do everything I ask of you, to the letter. Its best to start Day 1 on a weekend, or on your day off, as there is a lot to do in order to set a strong foundation.
Remember, theres good reason why I call it Gillians Boot Camp. Boot Camp is known to be fast, furious, maybe even fun at times, and very resultsdriven. It starts out with a flurry but then gets easier. And my Boot Camp, unlike the military one, doesnt hurt in the least. So no excuses, please.
At the end, you will delight in the new you. You are now officially a rookie Boot Camper. So get on with your tasks right now. We have a lot to achieve. Thats an order, and its given with love!
The one thing you need right now is a notebook ...
TASK 1: DECLARATION OF INTENT
Open up your notebook, which I like to call your Log Book, and on the very first page I want you to write your Declaration of Intent (see ).
The Declaration of Intent is your most important first step. Take your time and think very carefully about what you want to get out of Boot Camp. Then write it down on the Declaration form. This statement becomes your Declaration of Intent. I am not going to put words into your mouth, but your main motivation is likely to be that you are here to shift excess pounds and lose some weight. So if thats the case, write it down. By putting your intention on paper, its as if it is with you and already happening.
So you write, think and act as though it is there right now. For example, write the words:
I lose weight or I lose a dress size.
Writing, thinking and feeling in the present tense strengthens the vibration significantly. It is as if the want is taking place right now. You can even give thanks and feel gratitude, as if you have already received it.
When you construct and write down these desires, you may keep them general at this point, since we will be breaking them down more specifically later, on Day 3. Therefore, at this early stage on Day 1, you might just jot down a general desire for improved health, increased confidence, more energy, a happier mood, looking younger, better overall wellbeing. You decide.
TASK 2: PROGRESS TRACKING
You will use your Log Book for Progress Tracking. Answer the questions outlined here before you get started. This is a necessary step, to make a note of your feelings of wellbeing on all levels. How you feel physically, mentally, emotionally and energetically is an integral part of the process. I want you to rate how you feel now, by making observations about yourself. These same questions will be answered not just today,
