Sara Humphreys is a freelance researcher, writer and educator, who has toiled, travelledand tarried in various countries in Latin America, Africa and Europe andwhen not travelling or sitting hunched over a laptop, can be found swingingin a hammock in Barbados.

Stephan Kffner, a German-Ecuadorean who grew up in the US, has been working as a foreigncorrespondent in South America for well over a decade, writing for the likesof The Economist, Bloomberg, Time Magazine and energynewswire Platts. He lets off steam about politicsand economics by playing ice hockey in Quito and travelling as much aspossible.
