ABOUT THE AUTHORS

Mark Ellingham set up Rough Guides in 1982, writing the first four books, and was series editor for more than twenty years. He now publishes environment and music books for Profile/Serpents Tail, co-publishes Sort Of Books and is a contributing editor to Songlines, the world music magazine. He is also a trustee of the rainforest charity Cool Earth, and of Camara, which sends refurbished computers to Africa.

Jonathan Buckley has written and contributed to several Rough Guides and has published eight novels. He lives in Brighton.

Tim Jepson has worked in Rome as a journalist and is co-author of Rough Guides on Canada, Florence & Siena, the Pacific Northwest and Vancouver. He is also author of some twenty books on Italy and has worked on the travel desk of a UK broadsheet.
