Compass (compassprobono.org) assembles teams of MBAs and other highly skilled professionals to provide pro bono strategic guidance to nonprofits. (Locations in DC, Philadelphia, and Chicago.) Idealist (idealist.org) lets you search volunteer opportunities as well as jobs and internships by keyword, skill or interest, and location.
Volunteer Match (volunteermatch.org) allows you to search volunteer opportunities by cause and location.
Encore (encore.org) is a program designed for people interested in tran-sitioning to the social purpose sector.
Online Learning: Update Your Tech and Business Skills and Fill Knowledge Gaps
LinkedIn Learning is available to LinkedIn Premium members. It has webinars, videos, and online classes on business, creative, and technology topics. Check out tutorials in everything from project management and negotiation to leadership skills and online marketing strategy as well as learning about SEO, LinkedIn, spreadsheets, word processing, and more.
Sample courses include Body Language for Leaders, Communicating with Confidence, and Writing to be Heard on LinkedIn. There is also LinkedIn Slideshare, a platform that hosts eighteen million presentations from experts on every professional topic imaginable.
MOOCs . A MOOC is a massive open online course that often can be audited at no charge. Two of the top academic MOOC providers are Coursera and edX, which both partner with universities to offer classes.
In addition to free classes, Coursera and edX both offer paid verified certificates for successfully completing a course. Some MOOCs even offer college credit.
Coursera (coursera.org) has courses taught by top instructors from the worlds best universities and educational institutions. Courses include

edX (edX.org) offers courses from the worlds best universities and institutions to learners everywhere. edX now offers a MicroMasters degree in partnership with several universities. For example, a sample class is Criti-cal Thinking and Problem-Solving (RIT/Rochester Institute of Technology online).
Udemy (udemy.com) offers sixty-five thousand online classes taught by experts that include topics in business, tech, and personal development.
