Charlotte Segal is an instructor at the International Academy of Design Chicago and a 21-year cancer survivor. Segal's paintings and prints are part of numerous corporate and private collections. "Making art is my way to live beyond the years God has granted me. I feel I have survived through sheer will. Further, I view being able to create art as a gift to be treasured."
Her work is included in Healing Legacies, an arts registry that contains work by women and men who have experienced breast cancer. Created in 1993, the registry now represents more than 100 artists and contains more than 500 pieces of visual and written work.
