Definition of clutter in the d ictionary: (A lot of objects in) a state of bei ng untidy . My definition o f clutter: Any item that you do not us e or love. Zen level: Baby Yoda min dfulness /mn(d )f()lns/ noun the quality or state of being conscious or aware of something. a mental state achieved by focusing ones awareness in the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting ones feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique. a mental state achieved by focusing ones awareness in the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting ones feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique.
Lets be real, Im no Zen master, I dont meditate, huff essential oils, or practice yoga. I am, however, a strong believer in the power of mindfulness. Being mindful is simply taking time to be aware of your thoughts and feelings so you can recognize the effect they have on you, and if necessary, ch ange them. Example: If every time you need to clean the kitchen you get upset and think: This isnt fair, I dont want to have to do housework after working all day youve made it into a horrible chore before youve even begun and now youre way less likely to actually clean the kitchen. If you catch yourself having these thoughts, acknowledge them, and then you can change them to: If I spend fifteen minutes tidying the kitchen now, Ill have the rest of the night to relax. Its a small change in the way you self-talk, but it can have a huge impact on your m otivation.
