Although we owe a debt of gratitude to all the neteru of ancient Egypt for the gifts they give us, we must acknowledge two in particular: Anubis and Khepera.

Anubis is the shaman who holds the key. He is the Way Shower, the guide who shows us how to move out of linear thinking and allow our consciousness to merge and morph, in the same way the neteru themselves merge and morph from one to another, from human to animal form. His home is Sirius, the Dog Star, and he moves easily back and forth between all the planets, his home, and Earth. Anubis was born in the underworld; his parents are Nephthys, the lunar sister of Isis, and Osiris, the lord of death and rebirth. He was brought into the light by the solar goddess, Isis. He knows how to easily pass between the realms and understands that there are no real boundaries between them. A slight shift in awareness, an understanding of exactly where we need to be at any moment, and we are there. This is the key, and this is his gift to us. We can all move between the realms with the grace, ease, and gentleness of Anubis. No fear, no doubtthe dark, the light, no difference. It is Anubis who teaches us how to hold the new consciousness that is the source of these mysteries.

Khepera is the Spiral Dancer, guardian of Planet Earth and the moderator of all the transmissions that come to Earth from other planets and celestial bodies. These influences are called transits in traditional Western astrology; in Shamanic Egyptian Astrology, we call them emanations. Khepera holds the Earth between his arms and spins it, using his body to shield us from the energies that come to us from the planetary sources. Sometimes he allows influences in; sometimes he blocks them.

Khepera is teaching the children of the Earth to dance the spiral path, to shape-shift and move through all our human evolutions and become divine humans.

We give thanks to these two wise and powerful neteru for their guidance throughout this process. Anubis has shown us the way to Khepera, the guardian of Shamanic Egyptian Astrology.
