Introduction

Busy lives and the convenience of ready meals and takeaways can mean less time in the kitchen for many of us, but it doesnt have to be that way. This book is full of quick and simple recipes, all of which use 5 ingredients or less (excluding a few store cupboard staples) guaranteed to get you cooking more.

The benefits of cooking with so few ingredients are threefold: A quick dash around the shops on your way home and youre ready to cook (youll probably already have a few ingredients in the cupboards). Less ingredients equals less time chopping and preparing, and so lots of the recipes in this book are quick to prepare. Finally, these recipes are all easy to remember, for those days when youre in need of some inspiration all you need to do is remember a handful of ingredients and, hey presto, you can whip up something delicious in no time at all.

This handy book isnt all about dinner. It has new ideas for breakfasts, starters, sides and desserts too. Five ingredients means ease, so if you want simple cooking for all occasions weve got it covered. Smoothies, pancakes and loaded bagels are all on the menu for breakfast and you wont believe the desserts you can make with just 5 ingredients Chocolate hazelnut cheesecake anyone? Or how about warm cinnamon buns?

One thing you never have to worry about when cooking a Good Food recipe is if the recipe will work. We triple test all of our recipes in our development kitchen, tweaking and adapting until its just right, meaning all you have to do is follow the recipe for perfect results. The recipes in this book are all nutritionally analysed by a qualified nutritionist so you can see at a glance how they will impact your diet. We pride ourselves in offering recipes for every cook, meaning we choose ingredients that are easy to get hold of in most supermarkets, or if its something special, online.

With this book in your kitchen everyday cooking can become such a joy. Long ingredient lists are a thing of the past, and are not always necessary for turning out great food. Theres something for every occasion, and recipes youll turn to time and time again. These trustworthy, easy recipes will be loved by the whole family, so get cooking!
