READ THIS FIRST!
Throughout my twenties, I was living what most would call a successful life: I was easily earning a healthy six-figure income as a model and television host, creating my own schedule, traveling the world, and having the ability to pour my free time and money into my own nonprofit work in Africa. But something was still missing. While I seemingly had it all, I felt out of alignment with who I truly was on the inside.
So I began studying the great masters in psychology, philosophy, personal development, and neuroscience; taking countless workshops and classes; and digesting as many books as I could get my hands on. I made sure to keep an open mind with every lesson I learned; I applied each to my own life first, and then decided whether it felt right for me to incorporate into my beliefs. Through years of experimenting with different thought traditions and mental technologies, I have created my own version of the best of the best within this book, which is fifty of the personal exercises that I use on a daily basis to check in with myself, hold myself accountable, and ultimately uncover happiness in this beautiful life that we get to live.
I made this book as fun and easy to digest as I could, so that you can actually TAKE ACTION and experience the results that youre truly after. You can choose to go chronologically through the book, starting at Lesson 1 and ending at Lesson 50, or you can flip through and randomly select a lesson each day. Whichever way you choose, I highly recommend doing fifty consistent days of exercises in order to create a new pattern within your brain to see the world differently. Its been proven, time and time again, that if you want to incorporate new, powerful habits, you must consistently stick with the practice. And remember, we get out of life what we put INTO it, so doing the work is critical if you want results.
Finishing a book cover to cover is an amazing accomplishment, but putting the theory into action is where your life actually transforms. The beauty of self-discovery is that it is a never-ending process. Each of us is a new person every day, so the same lesson can offer new insights again and again. Life will continue to barrage us with new circumstances, and with these tools in your arsenal youll be ready to meet them head-on. We could read a book about tennis all day, but until we get on the court and actually practice serving the ball, its all theory. The same goes for human development. We are SO very complex, and there is SO much to learn about mastering our personal potential; but until we put it into action, its all just a bunch of ideas floating around in our heads. Keep coming back to it and make it a daily practice until it becomes second nature to you.
Its my heartfelt passion to inspire others to step fully into their greatness, to live lives so abundantly beautiful and filled with love that their hearts overflow with joy into the lives of others. Im committed to that, and I want to sincerely thank you for your commitment to yourselfits the first step to truly changing the planet.
WAYS
TO
YAY!
LETS CHANGE THE WORLD, SHALL WE?
The great poet Rumi has given us these wise words: Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself. When we change, the world around us changes. When we work on being the most amazing version of ourselves, on transforming our hearts and our minds, we can let that goodness ripple out and affect the world. We all have the power to change and transform ourselves, and when we realize this truth, we can bring forth that power into every circumstance we encounter.
