When her daughters were babies, Sharon published Monkeysuits, a line of knitting patterns for babies and children. She lives in Brooklyn, New York, and Hague, New York with her husband and three daughters. In Summer 2011, Sharon graduated from nursing school and became a registered nurse. Once underway, it emerged as something more complex than originally envisioned. (And it didnt help that I was finishing up my last year of nursing school, and preparing for my licensure exam.) My dear friend, Brenda Adelson, devoted many of her evening hours to help create many of the knit swatches shown in the book. Another dear friend and Brooklyn neighbor, Yuki Sahara, knitted a zillion swatches and was always sure to point out errors or odd wording that could be confusing. Pam Mourouzis, who already has a full plate, also expertly knit many of the swatches shown and made sure to let everyone know how much she enjoyed it.

My sister Lauren (Doll) and my pal Kristen also knit some swatches when they werent distracted by their own busy lives, and Im so thankful to them for that. Isabel, my eldest daughter, also took time from her demanding school schedule to help out and knit a few swatches.
