INTRODUCTION
INTRODUCTION
Hello there! The fact that you're here right now means that you are aware that you need more knowledge about productivity. This book is not about telling you all the things you need to do to be productive, what activities you need to engage in and checklists to follow or carry out.
This book is a Practical Guide on how you can attain productivity in your journey of achieving your goals and vision, through a secret system designed by me which I call the Productivity Boarding System.
This productivity boarding system has helped me personally in my productivity journey, having to work a 9 - 5 job, show up on my online platforms daily and run my home bakery business. I had done these things as a routine for a couple of months and decided to look for an alternative when it became overwhelming up to the point that I almost broke down due to stress.
After discovering the productivity boarding system, I was able to get more tasks done at work, show up online, run my bakery business and still have time to relax and rest. Productivity for me has been stress-free since then and so I decided to share this system with you as well, because I believe it can help you as well.
Now, I would like you to go through this book with an open mindset and a positive outlook so you can achieve everything you set out to do going forward, using the productivity boarding system as it all starts with having the right mindset.
CHAPTER 1
ORIGIN OF PRODUCTIVITY BOARDING
CHAPTER 1
ORIGIN OF PRODUCTIVITY BOARDING
Definition of Productivity:
Productivity can simply be defined as the quality or efficiency of an output. Productivity has to do with how you get things done, at what time you achieve those things, the tasks completed and the state you are left in after completing the task. I believe this is a more direct definition or understanding of what productivity actually means.
The Idea:
The idea of this productivity boarding system or strategy came about from a conversation I had on an online platform (Facebook). I was chatting with a lady about procrastibaking and she asked me for ideas on how she can overcome something I call the last-minute baking syndrome.
I jokingly gave her an idea on how to tackle and solve that issue which is basically what I now call the productivity boarding system, and after a while, she replied Wow. I was shocked at first because I didn't really think about what I was telling her, but after I got that reply, I went back and thought about the value she must have gotten from what I shared with her and then I decided to act on it as well after I figured it out.
It took me an extra 1 month to come up with the design for the productivity boarding system, and since then it has been an amazing journey of stress-free productivity.
I simply used the vision boarding idea to design the productivity boarding system.
Vision Boarding Versus Productivity Boarding:
Vision boarding simply refers to the act of creating a vision board. A vision board is a visualisation tool used to represent a person's vision and goals (personal or professional).
With the knowledge of this definition and after creating my first vision board, I decided to replicate this using my to-do list, tasks and goals, and hence I tagged it my Productivity Board.
The only difference between the vision board and the productivity board is the strategy with which the goals and tasks are carried out in the productivity boarding system.
If you currently have a vision board, then it means you have your goals set out already, and it will be easier for you to set up your productivity board. But for those who don't have a vision board yet, you can still create your productivity board but I will advise you to create your vision board first before going on to create your productivity board.
Now, the reason is that for you to be able to set clear and smart goals, and activities that need to be carried out in achieving these goals, you need to first have clarity of your vision. That is the first step towards achieving stress-free productivity.
Below is an example of what a vision board and productivity board looks like and I'm going to add a short description on how you can create yours below using an example. After doing that, you are now free to go ahead and create your productivity board.

CONCEPT OF PRODUCTIVITY BOARDING
CHAPTER 2
CONCEPT OF PRODUCTIVITY BOARDING
Set Up and Activities:
The productivity board is set up in a physical and practical manner in which you get to map out plans on how to achieve your tasks and goals. After having your vision board set, the next step is to map out your intentions and goals that need to be carried out in order to achieve that vision.
These intentions and goals are the activities that are placed on your productivity board. They are broken down into mini-goals, in the best achievable form so that it doesn't become overwhelming.
The productivity board is set up in a way that it has a time frame (deadline) for accomplishment of these mini-goals, and is usually set for a period of two weeks to two months, depending on what your goals are.
Also, you need to set up a reward, and this could be anything ranging from money, a gift, a treat, etc., just something nice that would make you very happy when you receive it. For me I usually use money, I hate losing money and I never want to lose my money so I'm always motivated to achieve every task and mini-goal set on my productivity board.
