Introduction
Pizza is an Italian national dish, in the classical sense, it is a round cake with tomatoes and melted cheese. Initially in Italy, pizza was considered the food of peasants and the poor, since all the ingredients of this dish are available to everyone and it can be prepared from the products that are at hand. Over time, pizza has become popular among the wealthy population. The wife of the Italian king Umberto I Margarita of Savoy was very fond of pizza, and it was in her honor that one of the recipes was named (Margarita pizza). Pizza-like dishes existed even among the ancient Romans and Greeks and consisted of meals on slices of bread. In Europe, the prototype of Italian pizza appeared in 1522 after the import of tomatoes there. In Russia, pizza became popular in the 90s after the emergence of American cafes and restaurants, specializing in pizza making. Now pizza is one of the most popular dishes in the world.
The main advantage of pizza is, first of all, its variety - by varying the composition of the filling, you can prepare a light snack, a hearty lunch dish or a holiday treat. It is very convenient to take pizza with you to picnics. The main ingredients of pizza are special dough (currently there are various options for ready-made pizza base), as well as tomatoes, cheese and vegetable oil. The composition of the spices used varies depending on the culinary tastes.
The rest of the filling components are selected in the same way.
Classic pizzas use Mozzarella or Parmesan cheese and refined olive oil. The dough can be made both yeast and unleavened (to save yourself the hassle associated with preparing this dish, you can even use ready-made puff pastry). If the choice fell on the yeast option, the filling should not be a high-calorie ingot. Conversely, for a light dough, you can make meat or mushroom fillers. An important component of pizza is sauce. It can be complex, consisting of several components, each of which requires additional preparation, or simple (for example, mustard sauce, ketchup, soy sauce, etc.). Any dressing must contain spices, as well as salt.
In this book, you will find a large number of recipes for pizza with a variety of fillings - meat, vegetable, seafood and even sweet - that take time to prepare and whip up. With pizza, you can meet unexpected guests or diversify your daily menu with an original dish. In addition, when preparing pizza toppings, you have the opportunity to invoke your imagination and make the taste of the dish elegant or spicy, subtle and original, and continue the list of pizza recipes on your own.
