ABOUT THE AUTHOR

On a rainy day in 1986, when he was fourteen, Greenstone ducked for shelter on a sidewalk. To kill time he picked up a book with a mystifying cover; it was on astrology. His life changed forever. In a year he had learnt to read his own horoscope. When he graduated in chemistry, his notebooks were filled with more horoscopes than formulae. Today, he has a systemised personal collection of over 13,000 horoscopes, and life details, of celebrities and people from all walks of life.

Based on his extensive research into astrology, he has propounded various rational methodologies to explore longevity, widowhood, wealth, fame, marriage, family, marital discord, sex life, careers, secret areas of life, travel and death. Greenstone is one of the few astrologers in the world to have concrete works on planets like Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. He has hundreds of horoscopes to prove their exact exaltation points. He has also re-discovered four more planets, asteroids and comets along with conclusive evidence that these planetary bodies too have a major impact on the life and times of human beings. Two of these planets are the true rulers of the zodiac signs Taurus and Virgo.

Greenstone also makes predictions about mundane matters, politics, sports, and celebrity-related events in various fora and media. He writes a weekly column titled Octozone, which focuses exclusively on sporting predictions. Training is his other passion, besides astrology. As a corporate learning and development professional, he has trained over 50,000 people.

WHAT IS YOUR TRUE ZODIAC SIGN?

What is your zodiac sign? You will have confidently answered this question many times. But what if I tell you that your usual answer may not, in fact, be correct? Shocked? Disbelieving? Yes, it is possible. Allow me to explain...

Let us suppose that you are a Scorpio. Every time you have said this, you must have received reactions of artificial admiration or fear. You must have wondered what the fuss was all about and deliberated over the widespread gospel about Scorpios being passionate, ruthless and vengeful. In reality, you feel you are none of these things!

This may have led you to read popular books on Sun Signs either for clarification or to convince yourself that you are a Scorpio. You may have even thrown away those books thinking they are all bogus and that astrology is nothing but hogwash.

Well, think about it a 5000-year-old science cannot be all gibberish, can it? Instead, there must be a mistake somewhere that not many have stumbled upon. Before I get into that, it is important to understand what astrology actually is.

Astrology depends to a greater extent on astronomy. A simple discovery that seasons are created by the changes in planetary positions or that high tides are caused by the moon, fuelled further explorations in astronomy. While astronomy is the science dealing with the physical aspect of everything in the cosmos, astrology is the discipline that uses the apparent positions of the celestial objects to predict future events. Astronomy has evolved and has been accepted as a science while the esoteric, mysterious and intangible aspects of astrology have been the deterrents to it being accredited as a science.

Your horoscope is the astronomical picture of the positions of all the planets and stars in the sky when you were born. Astrology interprets the implications of these positions and attempts to understand how your life or events will unfold in the future. These are extrapolations based on numerous recorded incidents from the past. It is interesting to note that most kings, queens or princes/princesses of the British Empire and Europe were born either on a new moon day or a full moon day! That includes Queen Victoria and even the current Prince William and his consort Kate Middleton.

One amazing fact I found while researching the birth dates of captains who played in the 1999 Cricket World Cup was that almost every captain of all the major countries playing in that tournament was born on a full moon day! Indias Mohd. Azharuddin, Englands Alec Stewart, Pakistans Wasim Akram, South Africas Hansie Cronje, Sri Lankas Arjuna Ranatunga and West Indiess Brian Lara all of them were born on full moon days! Interestingly, the tournament was won by someone not born on a full moon day Steve Waugh. Born in 1965, Steve Waugh had an important planet placed supremely in his birth chart Pluto which won him the World Cup.

The three superstars of the Indian film industry, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan, were born in the same year, 1965. The birth of these three most powerful people in the same year cannot be a coincidence. Planet Pluto, which I consider to be the most impactful planet in the universe, was powerfully placed in the horoscopes of these three and hence they reached where they have. Similarly, most events of our lives can be attributed to the strong or weak placement of planets in our horoscopes. All the planets, Mars, Venus, Uranus, etc., have their roles to play in our lives.

While it may be hard to believe that a planet that is many millions of miles away from us can influence us in any way, it is harder to ignore the simple fact that the psyche of a person is influenced by these very planets. While a horoscope can be read by a competent astrologer who can interpret your birth chart for you, even a novice may know the placement of the Sun in a horoscope and rattle out a few common characteristics of people born in a particular month. It is uncanny, but most people born with their Sun in Cancer tend to be emotional, sensitive, moody, loving, caring; they regard their mother with the highest respect, are extremely careful with money, and can cook.
