Healthy Living James is the book that I needed when I was struggling with my health. Ten years ago, I fell seriously ill out of the blue, which left me bed-bound for two years and house-bound for the next four. I knew that food could be an important part of my recovery journey, but I had no idea how to cook and no energy to concentrate on complicated instructions. I was looking for quick, easy and healthy recipes, with just a handful of ingredients and basic steps that even I could follow. I couldnt find anything suitable, so I decided to teach myself.

He went to bed after a meal out with friends and the next morning couldnt get up. He would remain bed-bound for the next two years, unable to communicate, eat, sleep, tolerate light or sound, watch TV or look at his phone. He decided to start a blog to share the recipes he was creating to try and help others looking for gluten-free and dairy-free recipes, and in 2016 Healthy Living James was born.
