Even though there are many moments when it may feel like it, no one writes a book alone. Throughout my life and career, and certainly throughout the writing of this book, Ive benefitted from the support, encouragement and inspiration of dozens if not hundreds of people.
Although we have yet to meet personally, Id like to thank filmmakers such as Steven Spielberg, Ridley Scott, Kathryn Bigelow and Paul Greengrass for clearly demonstrating that films can be more than just thrilling entertainment... they can be highly educational as well.
Id also like to thank the many accomplished filmmakers, marketing professionals, sales agents, producers representatives, distributors, studio executives and other professionals who graciously shared their experience and insights with me. Many were also kind enough to offer testimonials and reviews (some of which are published within this book). In particular, Id like to express my appreciation to Dan Myrick ( The Blair Witch Project ), who was also kind enough to write the books Foreword.
With regard to the writing, editing and production of Guerrilla Marketing for Filmmakers , Im particularly indebted to the patience and guidance of my friends at Routledge, including Simon Jacobs and John Makowski. And I would like to extend special thanks to my very talented and hard-working graphic designer, Sandy O. Cagnan.
