This diet requires the practitioners to abstain from the above-mentioned four ingredients and their subsidiaries. This e-Book can make your search process quite easier by providing you recipes of delicious Italian food items like pasta and pizza, all gluten free.

What Is a Vegan Diet?

Veganism is more than just a diet; it is a philosophy and a lifestyle choice that prohibits the use of any or all animal related products. Vegan practitioners do not just avoid eating meat or milk; they avoid using animal based clothing, bags, soaps and other accessories. Most people turn vegan for the protection of animal rights and saving the environment; however, there are others who rely on veganism just for health reasons. As is obvious from the name, vegans consume vegetable based foods only. In addition to that, they avoid using animal by-products such as eggs and dairy as well.

Health Benefits of a Gluten Free & Vegan Diet Following gluten free and vegan diet can grant you the following health benefits:

  1. This diet offers long term health benefits to people suffering from rheumatoid arthritis by reducing cholesterol, lipoprotein and raising the level of natural antibodies.
  2. Skin and hair grow healthier with time.
  3. Healthy food allows you to have healthy sleeping habits.
  4. Healthy and proper functioning digestive system.
  5. Proper diet leads to mood stability.
Cooking With Gluten Free vs. Non Gluten Free If you are transitioning from a non- gluten free diet to a gluten free one then you will have to make some changes in the cooking departments.

You need to avoid all ingredients that include triticale, wheat, rye and barley. One way to go about this diet is by avoiding the use of all these ingredients, other option is by finding substitutes of the ones that contain wheat and rest of the prohibited ingredients. For example, instead of purchasing normal bread from the bakery you will have to make your own at home through tapioca starch or flour. No doubt, that will require some effort but the health benefits are worth that! Risks of a Gluten Free & Vegan Diet Whenever you go on a diet regime, make sure not to starve yourself or take a particular ingredient in excess. This is one thing that will ruin your entire diet plan and can even damage your health. So, as long as you are following both these diets in moderation you dont need to worry about any risks.

However, if your body requires any of the food ingredients that you are refraining to take then you should make an exception. For example, if you have protein deficiency then you should consider taking dairy. This deficiency can be compromised with pills as well but its better to rely on natural sources.
