ADVANCE PRAISE
I absolutely love this book! Megans voice is warm, yet direct. Compassionate, yet clear. This book asks the right questions (Where do you feel most like yourself? Whats your superpower?) but it doesnt leave you endlessly *wondering* what you should do. Rather, it lays out a strategy for you to uncover your truths and carve out an aligned path forward. I wish I had this book when I was navigating identity shifts and career changes throughout my first few years of motherhood.

As a business woman and female founder, I cannot recommend this book enough!! For any mom who feels a deep sense that they are meant to change jobs after kids, Megan has written this book just for you. Through sharing her own journey, helping you create a clear, goal-driven plan and taking ACTION on your goals, Megan gives you a roadmap that helps you get where you need to be on your own career path after children. As someone who really struggled with losing her self-identity after motherhood, this book connected with me in ways I never thought possible. Thank you, a million times over Megan, for writing such a powerful and, what I know will be, a life changing book for women everywhere!!

I highly recommend New Mom, New Job . I felt such a connection to the author and couldnt put down the book. As I devoured the pages I felt I was having a conversation with a friend, like she knew my story and was helping me work through a web of difficulties that developed post-partum. I love the raw honesty and the ability to carve out tangible strategies to help navigate the balance needed to be a working mother. Great book, itll definitely be a permanent fixture in my library.

When a woman shares her own struggles and journey as authentically and openly as the author has, we all feel more empowered and supported in exploring our own. This book was easy to read, so relatable (I was head nodding like crazy!) and offered actionable steps for the reader to work towards more clarity in what can be a challenging decision.

Even though I am not currently considering a career change, I still thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and found it hard to put down once I started. Reading this felt like chatting with an old friend; the author, Megan Day came across so down-to-earth and easy to relate to. Her authenticity and passion was clear, and her writing style was inviting and entirely non-judgmental (which is EXACTLY what new moms need!). I liked the practical approaches provided to help new moms determine what is best for their individual needs and possible career changes. I highly recommend this very easy read!

The book, New Mom, New Job is a fabulous read for new and not-so-new moms alike. Ive been back to work for a few years since having my youngest child, but this book gave me much to think about and helped me to work through whats next for me. Megans writing style is clear, conversational and approachable. She makes the difficult tasks of thinking through the questions of whats next enjoyable and makes her reader feel supported throughout. Megan shares many of her personal stories, struggles, and successes in this book - her honesty and openness really added to the sense of support and the realization that the reader isnt alone in this process of self-discovery and change. I would highly recommend this book to any new (or not so new) mamas who are seeking support to help figure out the question of now what when it comes to their lives and careers.

This book is beautifully written and eye opening! It takes you on a journey inward to help navigate changes that will create a more well-balanced, purposeful life. The questions and prompts guide you to dig up answers that provide you with insight into your values and what you really want. It also explores blocks and limiting beliefs that might be preventing you from making decisions and taking action on what you really want. It felt like peeling back layers to get to my souls truth! I highly recommend this book.

For my girls, for demanding the best out of me right from the start, and for Adam, for being my loving, supportive, best friend and partner in this crazy life.
Chapter 1:
The End of Maternity Leave
Y ouve always been someone that knew what she wanted. You went to school, got good grades, got a job that paid you well, met your adoring partner, got married, and had kids. Youve been off on maternity leave with your little bundle of joy, and it has been a challenging time switching over to the role of mother. The date of your return to work is looming, and you think about it all the time. Sometimes when you think about it too much, your heart hurts because there doesnt feel like a right answer. You lose either way. Right now, you just want someone to tell you what to do. Youre tired, and youre confused.
