Introduction: Im not a graduate of the C.I.A [CulinaryInstitute of America].
Im self taught through endless years ofculinary failures. I dont host a show and this is the first bookIve ever wrote. I work with video games for a living. I play videogames in my spare time, I read and I cook. Games, books and cookingare my passions. This book isnt about bragging about travelnonsense, long lists of expensive ingredients and wine pairing, though drinking wine during and after cooking is highlyencouraged.
I love bacon. More so than what I should. Thepig is awesome. This book is for the rest of us, be you geek orgardener, who just want to cook something awesome, not shop all dayand definitely not cook all day. Those of us who want to eatsomething other than pizza, frozen dinners, and Chinese takeoutthat saw better days 20 years ago. To spare you the grief, everything in thisbook is tested, fed to multiple test subjects and received flyingcolors of approval.
They are easy; most can be prepared in under anhourand they have bacon in them. Pull out your aprons, or ratty sweatshirts, and lets cook.

Rules of Bacon Cookery aka: RealTalk 1. Dontfake the funk. Buy real stuff, like real butter, olive oil, nitratefree bacon and fresh produce. 2. 2.
Dont overdo it either. You dont have to drop a whole paycheck fora meal. Be a foodie snob if you can afford it, but if youre likeme and trying to pay bills, drop that white truffle oil and workwith what ya got. 3. Thereare a lot of kitchen gadgets in the world, but everyone who cooksshould, at least, have the following things: 1 sharp knife, 1frying pan, 1 medium pot, 1 large pot and 1 casserole dish. 4. 4.
Have fun and cook often. Not only will you save some major cashfrom ordering nasty, mutant pizza or frou frou snob eateries, butyour stats get a major bump in the dating pool if -you haveculinary credentials. Ive yet to date anyone who hates a homecooked meal; I know they exist, but they dont deserverecognition. 5. Dont burn your current residence down. If you cant boil water, take your time and learn.
Rome wasnt built in a day and neitherwas your house.
