About the Technical Editor
Bill Bruns is the Deputy Director of the Student Center at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He has been a technical editor for fourteen years, working on more than 130 books related to digital imaging, database systems, the Internet, web servers, HTML, operating systems, and Office applications. Originally planning to work in television production, his interest turned to computers while working on an undergraduate internship at Square One TV, a childrens mathematics show produced by the Childrens Television Workshop in New York City.
Bill holds bachelors degrees in Telecommunications and English Literature from Indiana University and a masters in Public Administration from New York University. Bill and his family currently reside on the edge of the Shawnee National Forest in Carbondale, Illinois.
