Letter from the Author
Its been five years since I first wrote Better Human. What a ride. I can remember waiting for the first shipments of the book to arrive. I called my publisher and asked if we could turn the ship around, if we could stop the book. The vulnerability hit me all at once. Did I want to put myself out there? Should I be sharing so much of myself? Im an introvert.just ask me.
And then the emails, texts, and cards came pouring in. The gratitude and love from better humans from all over made me realize that I was meant to write this book, I was meant to pay it forward. Since then it inspired me to keep writing. I have written two more books: You Go First: Become the Leader Your Team Needs, and Better Thinking: Think Better, Be Better.
In the last five years, I have met some of the most amazing people who have inspired me and this book. Darren Hardy has made such a huge impact on my life and now I cant believe I consider him, Georgia, and his team my friends. Benjamin Hardys writing has made me want to write more and better. Ill never forget when I met him and he hugged me and said, The world needs you. Someone pinch me.
I will forever be grateful for the time Jon Gordon, Ryan Estis and Shawn Achor spent with me and my team. They filled our tanks and made us better.
Heres what I continue to learn on this journey:

I recently read an article that talked about the people who write books and speak in public about being better self-improvement if you will. They do it first and foremost for themselves.
I believe it.
This book is a reminder that I am far from done. That I am a full-time job.
Im like you. I want better. I want more. I want to get it all. I work hard to be a better human, wife, mother, entrepreneur, friend and hustler.
