Get Holiday Making! Christmas is so ex citing! Wai ting for Christmas can seem to take fo rever , though. Make the time f l y by making some Christmas decorations and gift s. It is so much fun to prepare for Christmas. Each pr o ject has a list of things youll need.

Most pr o jects use some car d stock, PV A glue, a pencil, markers, acrylic paint, and a paintbrush. Scissors, string, thr ead, and tape ar e needed too. What will you need? Wh y Acrylic Pa int? A crylic paint is g reat because it is weatherproof, works on most surfaces, and dries fast. If you dont hav e acryl ic paint you can use poster paint. BEWA RE! Acrylic paint and PV A g lue will stain once it has dried. Cover yourself and all your surfaces befo re you paint.

If it gets on your clothes, wash it off right aw ay .

Tips and Tricks If you don t have the right color car d stock, paint your own. Mix up a big puddle of the right color paint. Pa int acr oss the car d stock first and leave it to dry . Then brush up and down to cover any gaps. Don t have any popsicle sticks? No pr oblem.

Cut some strips of thick car dboar d and r ound off the edges. Sadly , silver and gold ar e impossible to mix. F or pr o jects that use silver , use white. F or gold, use yellow . Color Mixing Y ou can mix all the colors you need with just red, blue, yellow , and white paint! Orange - Mix a little red into some ye llow . Green - Mix a little blue into some yellow .

Brown - Mix red and yello w. Add a little blue. Pink - Add a little red to some white. No toilet paper tubes to spar e? Just r oll up a piece of car d stock and tape it.

Tr y using wrapping paper , g litter , beads, or markers. Yo u need seven popsicle sticks for each angel. Pa int one side of the sticks white. Let them dry . Cut two sticks in half. Y ou may need adult help for this.

Pain t little hands and feet on the four tips of the two cut popsicle sticks. T o make the body , lay thr ee popsicle sticks in a line, painted side down. Glue two mor e sticks on at an angle, as shown. Then glue on the legs, painted side down. Adult help needed

A white f lu ffy sports sock works best.Y o u can use a lonely colored soc k to make a contrasting hat and scarf too. Cut off the sock s toe, ar ound 2 inches (5 cm) fr om the end. Fold up the bottom of the cut socks toe to make the snowmans hat. Tie the cut end of the sock tightly using a piece of string. Fill the sock with uncooked rice until thr ee-quarters full. Tie the end of the filled sock into a loose knot.

Then, to make the head, tie some string two-thir ds of the way up the filled sock.
