She grew up in front of the world on the beloved sitcom Full House, but then actress Andrea Barber abruptly left Hollywood. Why did she leave and what did she do for twenty years out of the spotlight before returning to television? This is her funny and inspiring memoir of fame, heartache, resilience-and the reboot of a lifetime . . .
When Kimmy Gibbler burst into the Tanners home on Full House in 1987, audiences immediately connected with the confident and quirky pre-teen character, played by ten-year-old actress Andrea Barber. During an eight-season run on one of the most popular series of the 80s and 90s, Andrea came of age in front of millions. But she was as far removed from her character as a girl can get. The introverted young star was plagued with self-doubt, insecurities, and debilitating anxieties that left her questioning her identity after the shows cancelation. Andrea wouldnt return to the public eye until 2016, for Fuller House. So what happened in those intervening decades that Andrea jokingly calls the lost years?
For starters, Andrea never stopped working. But it was on a series of life-changing transitions: earning a college degree, then a Masters, building a career in international education, getting married, and starting a family. She also faced some unforeseeable transitions: navigating a sudden divorce after nearly twelve years of marriage, and second-guessing her capabilities as a single mother. But it was her devastating bout with post-partum anxiety and depression that derailed Andreas life-and became a crucial turning point.
Full Circle is a raw, refreshingly honest look into the life of a celebrity who has never been fully comfortable in the spotlight. Here Andrea shares her deeply personal struggles with mental health in a way she has never done before. She opens up about fighting her way back and finding solace-while finding herself-all before her life came full circle with her costars and lifelong friends on Fuller House. Sharing her journey from child star, to champion of mental health, and back to stardom, Andrea writes in a way that feels like catching up with an old friend.
Youll laugh, reminisce, and finally get to know the woman behind the zany next door neighbor.

ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
To Kelley, my therapist for over a decade, who helped me write this book without even knowing it. You showed me the pathway to a better, healthier life and proved to me that life is worth waking upand fightingfor every day. You gave me the tools to build a better life. You lit a fire inside me that inspires me to help others with similar struggles. My gratitude for you is boundless.
To Jeremy and Kelli, who shaped my story in ways that I didnt necessarily want or expect. But you have showed me the power of kindness and grace even in the most unusual of circumstances. Thank you for redefining what it means to be family in an all-inclusive way that makes our kids feel more loved than ever. I appreciate you more than you know.
To my running friends: Lily, Cathie, Laurie, Eileen, Danna, Pavey, Chris, and so many others whom I dont have room to name... you are badass runners who inspire me to get outside and be a better version of me. You accept me without judgment when I dont perform to the best of my abilities. You inspire me to be a better runner, but more importantly, you inspire me to be a better human. Because you cant be one without the other.
To Doc, for always believing in my intellect and abilities even when I doubted myself. I am a better, more well-rounded, and worldly person because of you.
To Joe, Jordan, Jonathan, Danny, Donnie, and my Blockhead sistersA2, Angela, Katie, Jared and Julie: Thank you for creating a happy space in which I could sing and dance to my hearts content and, ultimately, escape from the stressors of life even for just a brief moment in time. Nostalgia is a powerful antidote to almost any challenge or grief.
To Melissa Coulier, for creating a cover photo for this book that perfectly captures the spirit of my story. I love you and your brilliant mind. Credit or debit!
To Rennie Dyball. You have become one of my greatest mentors and a life coach more times than I can count! And most of all, you are a confidant that I knew from the very beginning I could trust without hesitation. I simply could not have done this without your guidance and gifted talent. Your instincts, writing, and editing are unparalleled; however, it is your uncanny ability to connect with others that is your greatest gift. I cherish our time together. Thank you for helping me bring this dream to life.
To the rest of my book team: My agent, Katherine Flynn, my editor, Denise Silvestro, and the rest of my Kensington family. Thank you for seeing me, really seeing and believing in me and my vision for this book. From our very first phone conversation, you understood me, my passions, my vulnerabilities, my talents, like no one else. Thank you for believing in my ability to bring not just an entertaining book to the bookshelves, but a book that can make a difference in peoples lives. That is the kind of work that I hope has a lasting effect on our readers long after they finish the last page of this book.
To April, who understands grief, healing and the power of second chances unlike anyone else. Your friendship, your openness and honesty, and your ability to make me laugh has healed me (and I believe each other) a hundredfold. Our training runs together remain some of my fondest memories. Thank you.
To Greg, who hugged me through every heartbreak and wrote to me when I needed to hear your words more than ever. You have shown me what it means to be a true friend, and I can only hope that I can grow to be as dedicated a friend to you as you have been to me.
To Ellen, my forever BFF. My fondest memories of high school are with you. You filled my teenage life with endless laughter and joy that only our Taco Bell Thursdays and Beverly Hills, 90210 could do. You have always treated me as a best friend no matter what stage of life, with or without fame. I can forget to call you for way too long, and yet when we both pick up the phone it feels like two puzzle pieces coming together. Thank you for your unconditional friendship.
To John, Bob, Dave, and Lori. For accepting me into the family from day one and creating a set environment in which I could feel so welcome and loved. Any and all accolades we have received for Fuller House are really because YOU set the example of how to lead a show with love, humor, and family at its core.
To Jeff. Thank you for this life you have given me. You have changed my life in profound ways simply by never ceasing to believe in my ability to make people laugh. You put so much of yourself into this show, and I hope you remember that its success is because of you. All of the memories we have created and the extended family we have built are because of you. You will forever be the heartbeat of Full ( er ) House .
To Candace and Jodie. You are the closest thing I have to sisters. You understand and accept me exactly the way I am. You make me laugh like no one else in this world, yet I spontaneously cry thinking about all of the blessings we have shared together in this short lifetime. You are my She Wolf Pack, forever. That bond is unbreakable, and long after we take our last curtain call and the lights dim on the Fuller House set for the very last time, my love for you will outlast everything else.
To the Full(er) House fans! Thank you for your unwavering loyalty to the show. YOU are the reason we were able to bring that magic to the screen all over again. Bringing the character of Kimmy Gibbler to life (again) was an absolute highlight of my life. Thank you for sharing with me the ways in which Kimmy impacted your life.
To my brothers, Darin and Justin, for keeping me in check, giving me grief about my long showers, and keeping it real. I love you guys with my whole heart... even though Im still Moms favorite. : )
To Michael. For showing me that I can be accepted and loved no matter how many flaws I possess. For helping me believe in love again. For loving my children and filling a hole in my heart that I thought would never feel whole again. I love you, even (especially) when you are a curmudgeon. You are forever my MH.
To my parents, who gave me life in more ways than one. You nurtured me back to health when I was in crisis. And I know you would do it again without hesitation. You taught me what it means to be an unconditional, selfless parent. My greatest hope is that I can be the same kind of rock to Tate and Felicity as you have always been for me. I love you.
To Tate and Felicity. Being your mother has been the greatest joy of my life. Just when I think my heart is full, you grow and make me proud and prove that my heart has no boundaries when it comes to loving you two. You have made my life complete. There are no two people on earth that I love more than you... even when you complain about my cooking and refuse to clean your rooms. Thank you for being the reason I smile every day. I love you with all of my soul.
