Advance Praise
If Ive heard one thing repeatedly in my decades of work with executive women, its the false idea that women must put self-care low on their priority list. In her refreshing new book, Redefining Your Life D.I.E.T., Dr. Sheila Robinson not only refutes that idea, she explains how prioritizing self-care leads not only to greater well-being but to maximum productivity in every role in life. If you are a woman who juggles multiple roles, you cant afford to miss this book.

Thank you, Dr. Robinson, for reminding us that when it comes to changing our nutritional habits, it isnt about making huge leaps and strides; its about making small, sustainable changes that have a long-lasting impact. The last year has not only been polarizing on a number of fronts; it has also served as a reminder that prioritizing our healthin all areasshould be goal number one. We cant help others if we arent helping ourselves. Thank you for this important resource.

Dr. Robinsons book Redefining Your D.I.E.T.: Transform How You Look, Feel, and Perform is so timely as the pandemic brought health to the forefront of many conversations. During COVID-19, I was caring for family members in high-risk categories. Due to stress, combined with a bad habit of mindless eating and drinking, I gained a lot of weight. Many women who were working at kitchen tables, plus caring for young children, gained weight too. I like that this book focuses on lifestyle changessmall adjustments that could become habitsas opposed to short-term restrictive diets that are not sustainable.

This book is dedicated to every woman who wants to transform her life and become her personal and professional best.
I would like to acknowledge and thank a number of people who helped make this book a reality.
First, my daughter, Leah Robinson, and my mother, Mildred Thomas. The love I have for you propels me each day and has even more so as I set out on the journey to write this book. While I am accountable to myself, I feel even more responsible to be healthy for you.
My loving sisters, Darlene Crawford and Sharon Cunningham. You encourage and inspire me daily. You mean so much to me, and I am grateful you are in my corner.
My friends. You were such a big part of my inspiration to write this book. So many of you have told me that I am helping you in all areas of your life. Please know that you have helped me too. On more than one occasion, friends have told me that when one aspect of their lives was less than whole or congruent, the other aspects of their lives were out of whack too. I found that health, wellness, and self-care are key. When I made selfcare a priority, everything else fell into place. My leadership productivity and the value I have added to Diversity Woman Media have skyrocketed since. I thank you for finding value in my research and personal journey, which I am sharing with you in this book.
My team at Diversity Woman Media. While I have a zillion ideas daily and probably make you crazy, you are my grounding force. Your belief in me and the direction I have set for us is what keeps us innovating. Your embrace of what we do is for the success of all women. I appreciate and respect all of you more than words can express.
