Introduction
Hello and thank you for checking out this book.
In our society, we suffer from the problem of materialism. Materialism has taken over society, and it has made things hard for many people. So many people acquire objects that they dont need, and it spills over into their homes and the way things are arranged. Homes get filled with various objects, and it proves to become quite the problem and a huge issue for many.
Space looks smaller when you do this, and you might think that its time to clean up. Cleaning is good, but for some its very hard because of the fact that they have to get rid of things. However, there is a way to do so. That is by practicing minimalism.
Minimalism is a way to help you keep the minimal amount of items in your life while still having basic items to function. You need to practice this, because not only will you feel better, your home will look nicer, and you wont feel the overbearing nature that other items have on you. Minimalism is something that everyone should practice, and its something that is helpful for just about anyone.
In a world filled with stuff and the demand to have everything, you might think this is hard, but let me tell you, you can practice minimalism. I wrote this book to help people learn how to be minimalistic, and this book will give you six amazing ways to help you get rid of stuff that you dont need, and how to spruce up your home so that it looks better. doing so will make everything all the more better, and it will make your ability to only keep the minimal amount of item at bay, and you will feel better as well. This book is to encourage those who pack everything and keep everything to throw them away, and to keep what you need and get rid of the things that you dont need in a snap. By the end of this, the idea that youll be able to have a great life and less items will be a reality, and your house will be filled with less clutter and more things that you need. This will help you, and youll feel better, so its time to embark on the adventure that you want to have. C leaning Time!
You may like your home, but it might be a bit messy. You might be the type who cleans once a week, but in this case, this will be a thorough cleaning. You will be going through the home and getting rid of items that you dont need, and this first point of interest is the most important. The cleaning of a home determines what youll keep and wont keep, and this section will give you tips on how to get started.
First, pick a room. Ideally, I would go with the smallest room first. The reasoning for this is, if youre a pack rat, youll probably want to keep everything in a big space, and that just gets overwhelming. Youll be able to have a hard time with this, and youll have a rough go from the start. Start off with a smaller room, like the bathroom or a guest room, and go from there.
Next is getting rid of things. If you have garbage, get rid of that first. The main reason is because it looks gross and unseemly, and its not something that you need to keep around. Youll feel like its hard to do if youre a severe pack rat, but youll tank yourself in the future. Old magazines and newspapers also go with this as well, unless you use it for a job, then dont keep it.
Next is clothing. Think about the last time that you wore this? Was it within the last year? Did you like wearing it? Is it something you would wear again? The problem with many clothes is that we think that we need them, but in essence, we dont. We think that those styles are still relevant, but the truth of the matter is, we grew out of that a long time ago. Go through clothes and other items and see if its been used. If not, pitch it, if so, keep it, but then youll have to narrow it down from there.
The same thing goes with toys and other items. Some of us have children that always want the newest and flashiest toys. They will want to keep everything, but the thing is, look and see if your child has been using it. If they havent, then its best to just let it go. If it has some significance to you and your child, its best to keep it, such as family heirlooms and dolls that they might have gotten from family. But be smart about this. Not everything is a treasured heirloom.
Then there is furniture. If you want, you can downsize your furniture as well. If you never use it and its just getting in the way, then its time to let it go. Just get rid of it, and youll feel better.
Having a clean home is a great one, and youll feel better later on. Youll be able to have a good life that is full of less clutter and more fun, and your home will feel better in no time. How to Get Rid of Things
Next is the means in how to get rid of things. You will want to think about what youre doing, and you will want to think about how you want to get rid of things. Many times, people just go to goodwill or their local thrift store to donate, but there are some things that you can do when being minimalist. This section Ill give you some helpful tips that will make things better.
