What is minimalism? It is a tool that can help you get rid of your life's lavishness, in favor of concentrating on what's important, so you can discover true happiness, fulfillment and freedom.
Minimalism can assist you in gaining freedom from fear, worry, overwhelming guilt, and depression. Weve built a huge division between us and real freedom. It doesn't mean that there is anything wrong with owning material possessions, its just the freedom of owning and not being owned.
Today's problems seems to be about us and the stuff we own. There is too much meaning given to simple things. Simplicity often means neglecting our own wellness, passion, relationships, and the desire to improve in favor of concentrating on whats important, so you can discover true happiness, fulfillment, and freedom.
Simplicity along with joy, freedom and balance
Learn to live a life of simplicity joy, freedom, and balance. To achieve the benefits of simple living, you need to appreciate what you have. Focus only on whats important. Go through your personal journey, simple conversations, and wide observation.
The first step is the way to becoming a minimalist. The number of things you own does not matter, but living a happy life does. When you count and list your possessions, its value may shock you. Having more (or less) than others is totally irrational.
Don't throw out things just because you can. You will just end up being sad and eventually buying new versions of them. What you should probably do is see what you can and cannot live without. You may think that you cannot live without your iPhone and a nice wardrobe, but once they are gone, you'll have more time to focus on what you really want to do, like learning how to play a guitar.
Keep in mind that minimalism is a tool. When you neglect advertisements, there will be no sense for you to long for these items, no pressure to invest in them, and no stress to pay for them. It will be like magic; no more worries and headaches.
If you no longer have the urge to buy things such as handbags and the latest car models, then you won't have to max out your credit cards or work overtime. Because you have no worries or stress to pay for. There will be more time for rest.
With a minimalistic lifestyle, freedom is within your reach. Every unnecessary thing you put out will be a step closer to being a minimalist, less shopping, and cleaning.
Once you step out of an unproductive habit, you will feel serenity and calmness. It is not always about the number of things you have, but it is about having a proper perspective of material things, so that you can see clearly what you really want in life.

Reasons Why Minimalism Means Less Stress
Possessions
Too many belongings complicate our lives to the point that we give them credit. It drains our energy, attention, and mostly our bank accounts. If you take your time to extract nonessential possessions in your life, you will regret nothing; instead, it will keep you closer to your loved ones and put your life based on your values and virtues.
Time
Obligations and commitments in work, home, and events is just too much. Reduce your time commitments.
Goals
Reduce your goals into two, when you accomplish one add another goal. By doing this you are improving your focus. Strive for each goal you want to attain, one after the other.
Negativity
Hate, jealousy, bitterness, and resentment. If you have these kinds of attitudes, you are not a minimalist. Instead of hating so much, change it into positive thoughts. A negative attitude has never brought any improvement to anyone.
Your words
The fewer the better. Choose your words carefully to avoid gossip.
Health is best
Avoiding fatty foods will help you improve your energy level. Reduce consumption of fast foods, and eat healthier foods.
Connections
Focus on what is significant and not urgent. Relationships with other people are good, but turn off your Blackberry once in a while. Log off of Facebook, and avoid unnecessary text messages.
Multi-tasking
Handle one task at a time. Research shows that multi-tasking increases stress and lowers productivity. Do things one at a time, and then move on to the next.
Entertainment
Television, movies, and video games are distractions. Technology has taken its toll on your life more than you know. It makes a great impact on attitude and outlook in life. You may not have noticed this because you live with these things constantly. If you take time to turn them off, you will fully understand and appreciate more things than your gadgets.
Living like a minimalist
It is clearly getting rid of things you do not need. Living without the obsession from material things and obsession from doing everything and sometimes too much. It is better to have a simple wardrobe. Carry only what you need, and live lightly.
