    Well, guess what? This can be achieved. Unfortunately not from a single pill, but by following the habits in this book. By making small, simple changes, you will see your health, happiness, energy and performance skyrocket.

    Having coached thousands of people to improve their health, energy and happiness, I have found four common themes, which have driven me to create this book.

    1. Very few people have great health, energy and happiness all of the time.
    2. Everyone would love to improve their health, energy and happiness.
    3. Everyone wants the solution to be quick and simple.
    4. Working harder and longer is no longer the answer; working smarter and managing time and energy effectively is the future.

    There is a very simple formula for achieving great health, high energy and happiness.

    • Consistently do more of the things that positively affect your health, energy and happiness.
    • Do less of the things that affect you negatively.

    This is where this book comes in. In it you will find all of the habits that give you great health, energy and happiness, as well as the key habits to avoid.

    Health, energy and happiness are forever being challenged, so we need to be as consistent as possible with doing the right things. All of the good stuff needs to become natural to us a habit. In this book you will learn a simple system for creating lifelong healthy habits.

    There are seven key elements that impact most on your health, energy and happiness mind management, nutrition, sleep, exercise, re-energising, computer use and worklife balance and they are all covered in this book.

    Each of these seven chapters contains the following:

    • an introduction to the subject
    • the benefits of making changes in this area
    • the top seven habits that are most important for great health, energy and happiness
    • the key habits to avoid
    • extra positive habits (after you have implemented the top seven habits, you can start to pick some extra positive ones)
    • experiences from individuals who have made these simple habit changes.
    The concise approach

    You will notice that the information included in the book is concise and to the point no lengthy explanations with technical jargon as to why you should do this or shouldnt do that. There are four reasons for this approach.

    1. Most people are very busy these days and therefore just want to know the right things to do, rather than being told all the details as to why they should or shouldnt do it.
    2. Ive spent my whole working life reading books that are full of up-to-date research studies and technical explanations, so you dont need to. You can simply be confident in the knowledge that all the information provided in this book does actually work.
    3. I have not only incorporated everything in this book into my life, but I have worked with thousands of people to help them to improve their health, energy and happiness, by making the simple habit changes described in this book. You will read about some of their experiences and see how even small habit changes can achieve big results.
    4. There are entire books purely focused on one of the seven areas covered here. By including all of them in one book, each chapter contains the key information presented in an easy-to-digest way. In fact, due to the volume of information behind this book, if I was to provide you with an in-depth explanation for each habit, you would be reading a book with over one thousand pages, versus just over one hundred pages.

    Even more importantly, dont just take my word for it. Start introducing the habits contained in this book into your life and you will very quickly see and feel the results for yourself.

    The 80/20 rule

    One important point to make when forming new habits is that the 80/20 rule works; this means: dont try to be perfect all the time. If you can stick to a habit 80% of the time, this will carry you through the 20% of the time when things just dont go to plan. For example, you will have a night when you dont sleep so well, you will have a day when what you eat and drink isnt ideal, you will have a week when you dont exercise as much as you should. But stick to the plan and things will get back on track.
