Because viewing the whole Bible through an authentic Hebrew lens provides a deeper understanding of GODs faithfulness to every generation, we forged the Tree of Life Version (TLV). By offering unique TLV Bible Study tools, we create a shared language that reflects GODs Kingdom culture in our daily lives, and proclaims Yeshua (Jesus) to the world. Our goal is to make the original language and culture of the Bible, and its salvation message, accessible through translation, art, and teaching. Introducing the Tree of Life Version
D R . J EFFREY L. S EIF
TANAKH P ROJECT M ANAGER AND V ICE P RESIDENT
The Bible isnt simply a book. Its a collection of books. Who wrote the books? Why did they write them, and to whom? When did they write the texts? In what languages were they written? Who preserved, collected and certified those biblical books as authentic? Who subsequently translated the documents and authorized them for religious consumption? These are all worthy questions, are they not?
While a full telling is beyond the scope of this translations introduction, worth noting for our purposes is that the New Testaments so called Christian authors did not actually have a so called New Testament. Significant, as well, is that they did not even refer to themselves as Christians. Their Scripture was the Hebrew Biblewhat I once heard Rabbi Marty Waldman refer to as Israels family diary.
