Foreword

The Lemurian Way is a mythopoetic message in the tradition of W . B. Y eat s Vision, and before that in the utterances of the ancient Bards inspired by the M uses. Inspired means breathed into. The poet, therefore, is a relatively passive receptor or conduit through whom the words are uttered. The Muses are the daughters of Mnesomne, Memo r y . In this connection the authors of The Lemurian Way are listening to the memories of those voices who call themselves the Elders of Lemuria, of a place and time thousands of years ago now miraculously awakened.

The Lemurian Way i s mythopoetic also in the tradition of William Blake, who said that what can be imagined is real . It is an important quality of the mythopoetic also that the conduits project their absolute sense of the authenticity of the experience. The narrator of Genesis II-III, for instance, establishes his/her authority at the text s outset. Horne r , likewise, conveys the narrator s sense of omniscient eyewitness in his description of the T rojan W a r . The truth of the experience is here also, reified by the conduit s personal recollections of life in Lemuria elaborated by the Elders. In a real sense, they are Lemurians, imbued with the fe r vor of awakened spirits. In contempora r y Jungian terms, they have dipped into the collective unconscious beyond the restricting and censoring influence of the ego and almost dreamlike, emerged into a fully rendered vision of a lost civilization. Lemuria shares many components of archetypal realms: Edenic, its members enjoy a harmonious tribal, preliterate existence of remarkable tranquillity and innocence. Then its dis r uption by representatives of the intellect and its ambitions, in the form of the Atlanteans, parallels the seduction of Adam and Eve by the ego-dominant Adversary.

Here, too, is the hidden ambiguity of the felix culpa, the fortunate fall, in which the perils to which the flesh is heirof consciousness and experience are a worthy price to pay for humanity s growth. The Lemurian Elders sadly realize their earlier failure to attain the harmonious balance between spirit and body and now challenge us to take up the task. Thus it has always been in the most treasured memories of the race to regain the possibility of resurrection in the fles h a spiritualized existence in the here and no w .

Quite true, the Lemurian here and no w , the idyllic millennia rolling by in a seamless, light-suffused present, ironically comments on our fallen existence. Simple communal tasks, the daily warmth of familiar faces, the rituals of group solidarity echo in our dreams of Eden or in motion picture fantasies of the South Seas. Their births are preciously spaced; ours profligately strewn. Their sex is sacred; ours mimes images of ecstas y . Y et the tone of the Lemurian Elders is not scolding or shrill in the manner of a Jeremiah foretelling doom should the message go unheeded. They speak out of their own sadness at a chance lost. Theirs is a loving concern for those now who have the opportunity to turn to the Light. And finall y , their message, as the conduits tell us, is not new but rather a profound restatement of those spiritual and ethical precepts that resonate timelessly in the utterances of wisdom-Sayers everywhere. Sagely also, their call is to the Single One, to each of us as an I , who in the full meeting of the Tho u of anothe r , meets also God.

Pre f ace
A Special Love Story

Lauren O. Thyme and Sareya Orion have their own soul memories of Lemuria and created this book in partnership with Lemurian Elders. The Elders, many of whom may be Ascended Masters, are a loving and gentle group of souls who advise and teach human beings the essential nature of the universe from their perspective in the spirit world.

The Elders describe the harmonious life they experienced in Lemuria as a guidepost for human civilization toda y . They elaborate on the ease of Universal Laws and Wisdom as they lived it, knowledge as old as humanit y . Pieces of knowledge have been explored extensively throughout time in myths, legends, archetypes, philosoph y , world religions, and mystic thought. Information has issued forth from countless shamans, prophets, mystics, philosophers, poets, psychics, and recently by transpersonal psychologists, scientists, and physicists.

Howeve r , the Elder s intention is to complete our education: to present the entire body of knowledge, kept secret for ages, to prepare for the leap in planeta r y evolution. T o accomplish that, they stimulate deep soul memories by presenting details of their society that encompass the orde r , logic, and harmony of the universe. They remind us to allow recognition, knowledge residing in individual souls, to just happen. They encourage us, not just to understand with our intellects, but to feel the wisdom in our bodies. Most importantl y , the Elders quietly remind us that Universal Laws and Wisdom were initiated and put into motion by a loving Creator Source, so that eve r yone can live one s essential nature of peace, harmon y , love, and jo y .

Introduction

Many decades ago, when I was five years old, I heard disembodied V oices. As time went on, communications from these V oices grew more frequent and articulate. Accompanying the V oices was a sweetness, an unconditional love that was tangible. During those decades, the V oices (or the Guys, as I came to a ff ectionately call them) began teaching me. Spirituality 101, I suppose you could call these lessons. The Guys were gentle but resolute, coaxing and encouraging. They were supportive and nurturing when I was down, enthusiastic when I made breakthroughs. I received messages from them that were detailed and coherent and always accurate.

Then the Guys informed me they wanted me to write a book on Lemuria. Lemuria was one of my favorite subjects, and my most beloved memories were of that time and place.

Howeve r , I refused, since I was working on another project at the time. The Guys did n t give up. With synchronistic brilliance I was introduced to Sareya Orion by a mutual friend, Liah Holtzman. Liah and I had just finished our joint book project Forgiveness Equals Fortune , now in its 2nd edition. Sareya and I became instant friends and we began sharing our memories of Lemuria. Sareya wanted to write a book on Lemuria. I offered to help her to do so. The rest is histo r y . She moved in with me and we began this project.
