I have had the privilege of being present at thousands of births and the name selection process has always interested me as mothers and fathers deliberate on choosing the most appropriate and best name for their newborn babies. This is the much-awaited book that will increase the understanding of why names are so important. Sonias guidance is fantastic as appropriate names will expand the energy field of the babies to give them a life full of love, abundance, laughter and fulfilment.

I consulted Sonia about the naming of my daughter Lily because I wanted to give her the best start in life. Sonia gave me great reassurance by confidently counselling me about the spelling of her name. I never forgot her advice and eight years later, she was able to give me instant and startlingly accurate insight into her character development just from her name.
Tanith Carey, author and journalist
I found choosing a name for my little girl a big responsibility, but there was an aspect of comfort in my Numerology reading from Sonia. She opened my eyes to what kind of character might inhibit her name. A name is the first gift you bestow on your child and to me the brilliance of Numerology is that it helps you to make an informed choice.

Introduction
I profoundly believe that those who take responsibility for themselves and the world live the longest. During infancy everyone knows the importance of feeding a baby the right foods, and from week to week when the newborn is weighed, even the slightest imbalance is pointed at parents by the medical profession. Is the baby not being fed, or being overfed? What kind of food is the precious one eating? Ooh the responsibility. The babys growth depends primarily on the love it receives and the physical nourishment it takes in order to survive.
Later on in childhood, young ones categorically let their parents know what they like or dislike. However, childhood conditioning is absolute and parents or immediate family influence their childrens behaviour generally for life.
When a child reaches teenage years and on into their 20s they learn to take responsibility for their feelings and their emotional reactions to the world. Later on the child-now-adult learns to take responsibility for their thoughts (which affect all their actions), and for their intellectual understanding of the world. Spiritual responsibility comes into play when an adult recognizes theres more to life than self we are all one. Once we can recognize the unity, collective responsibility comes into play. There is a natural desire to want to preserve life by respecting the planet, recycling our goods, sharing our resources, and taking care of one anothers needs.
Many prospective parents avoid having children due to the responsibilities involved, and thats a choice. But responsibilities are humanitys lifeline; they help us to grow, and they bear great gifts if we are prepared to take up the challenge.
My parents William and Agnes enjoyed the challenge when choosing my First Name. Initially they were both set on two options Linda or Sonja (my mother favoured the Russian spelling with a j). However, my father registered Sonia spelt with an i, the English way, on my birth certificate. As a Numerologist I can see they were both right; Linda and Sonia (with an i, my dads choice) both add up to 22/4, and so I got what I needed.
My dads Pet Name for me was Little Toots more divine synchronicity. Little adds up to 24/6 (the same as my surname Ducie). Toots adds up to 17/8 (the same as my Year of Birth); together these Pet Names add up to 41/5 (the exact number of my soul vibration). Clever work.
Naming a child is an enormous responsibility, and the whole process is completely mind-boggling and fascinating. It is always a privilege to help parents find the best potential names for their babies.
Love and Light,
Sonia

Whats in a Name, Whats in a Number?
C hoose the Perfect Baby Name is intended to be an essential guidebook for all you parents, to help you make the best possible choice for your babys names. Numerology provides a very accurate weather forecast that highlights the best potential, but predicting how someone or something will turn out is quite another matter! As parents you can give your child the best start in life by choosing the right names, and then its up to them to explore their potential, and for you to step back and see what they make out of their lives. Numerology taps into your intuition and brings you seeds of truth, and as parents you can learn to listen because you know whats best and what feels right. However, as parents its reassuring to note that the classical interpretations of names passed down throughout the ages are identical to the very qualities and meanings revealed in the Numerology of names.
