Edward Aves (@Ed_Aves) has had a soft spot for Laos ever since his first visit tothe country in 1998. An in-house editor at Rough Guides London HQ, hesperiodically let out to get back on the road, and has contributed tonumerous other guidebooks, including the Rough Guides to Sri Lanka andIndia.

Steve Vickers fell in love with Laos on his first-ever trip to Asia and has beenreturning ever since. Based partly in Sweden, he writes and reports formedia outlets around the world, including TheWashington Post, BBC Radio 4 and TheIndependent.
