I T WAS THROUGH A BOLT of lightning of sorts, after a ten-year journey of dabbling into the meaning of the Letters and Numbers in the Names and Birth Dates of everyone I met, that I realized I had been given a gift that could bring a new vibrancy to peoples lives. Still, I would continue to prove it to myself. The last time was at a dinner party, when an eighty-five-year-old, very proper lady confided in me that she couldnt wait to get home. She had just started a new romance novel and was looking forward to reading the next chapter. Even at her age, her Name and Birthday radiated her passion for the sensual and intimate pleasures of life. Its very historical, she added with conviction. Not much more is needed to confirm what the Letters in her Name revealed and the fact that we never really outlive our passion for living.
Another ten years presented many experiences that catapulted into my life, including writing special treasure books to comfort children whose parents had divorced. My experiences with the family dynamic and its challenges during this time also included my own as a single parent working and raising three wonderful children.
But most recently, after fourteen years of working in an environment that employed a large group of people, from professionals to staffers, with different backgrounds, I was able to piece together a puzzling conflict that existed within one person and compare it with that of another person in an unrelated group within the same company. I did this through the Letters shared in their Names. They each acted out the same exact conflict, which was dual in nature. It was here that I was provided with the proof of what I call this discovery-in-plain-sight . As surprising as it sounds, with the change of a Letter or two in our Name or by merely adopting a nickname, we have the power to cure the human spirit. If ones Name is left in a negative state, it can propel personal antagonisms into illness or create an atmosphere of violence. In recent medical studies, these tendencies have been revealed in the brain through CAT scans and MRI testing, and, as nature would have it, they also show up in the Letter combinations of a persons Name, an important part of our heredity, identity, and nurturing.
From a biblical viewpoint, when God chose someone to change his life path, He changed his Name. The most famous examples are when Saul became Paul (Acts 9:122), when Abram became Abraham (Genesis 17:5), and when Jacob became Israel (Genesis 32:28). Understanding the gifts of the Letters in our Names gives us the freedom to understand and correct any unwelcome behaviors, addictions, and illnesses that compromise our health and safety handed down to us in our Name through generations. I can only describe this discovery, in addition to others that are included in this book, as an enlightened intuitive breakthrough for an exciting and healthy life and a better world.
