1. Tonys Baguette
Still searching for Vito, the boys talk about romance and relationship with Tony praising his male prowess and stamina.
Serves
Cook time 80 minutes
Ingredients
- 500-gram flour
- tbsp olive oil
- 1 - cup of warm water
- I sachet dry yeast
- I tbsp freshly chopped oregano
- Salt
- Semolina
- 1 tbsp sugar
Method
Pour warm water in the mixer, add sugar and yeast; allow the yeast to come alive
Put the mixer on low, add the flour and olive oil and mix until the dough comes together
Divide dough into four parts on a floured cutting board and roll into a rod shape
On another tray, sprinkle semolina and place each baguette roll
Cover with a clean damp napkin to proof or until it doubles on size
Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes at 375F until golden brown
Serve with anything you want
2. Breakfast Sandwich with The Sopranos
So, the gangs are eating breakfast when news about Vitos death came through the door. We all know who done it?

Prep time 25 minutes
Ingredient
- 1 baguette
- 1 large tomato sliced
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
- 1 tsp Italian mixed herbs
- 250 grams cerimi mushrooms, sliced
- 1 clove garlic grated
- Black pepper
- 1 tsp olive oil
Method
Saut mushrooms with garlic, pepper and a dash of salt in olive oil
Slice the baguette halves in two, drizzle with olive oil and toast on a hot pan face down
Flip baguette; add cooked mushrooms, tomato slices, sprinkle of mix herbs, a handful of mozzarella and place in a microwave until the cheese is melted
Cover with the other half and enjoy
3. The Sopranos Marinara Sauce
No Italian household is complete without a jar of marinara sauce in the fridge. This easy go-to base sauce is one that the don would approve of.
Makes 2 large jars
Cook time 40 minutes
Ingredients
- 750 grams San Marzano tomatoes
- cup extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tbsp freshly chopped basil
- 1 tsp chopped basil
- cup chopped yellow onions
- tbsp chopped garlic
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt to taste
Method
Add butter and olive oil to a pan with onion and garlic to soften
Add the tomatoes, you can chop them if you want
Add salt, pepper and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes
Taste for seasoning; if its too sweet, add a dash of lemon or sugar if it is too acidic
Remove from heat when cooked, add basil and store in a jar for use
4. Carmela Orange Cookies
Every Italian household knows a thing or two about baking and these cookies will make a great addition to your cookie jar.
Makes lots of cookies
Cook time 40 minute
Ingredients
- 350 grams flour
- 150 grams of butter
- 80 grams white sugar
- 3 medium-sized eggs
- 2 tsp baking powder
- tsp baking soda
- cup of orange juice
- Salt
- Orange zest
Method
Mix all the Ingredients together and allow the dough to cool in the fridge for 5 minutes
Remove from refrigerator and roll on a floured surface
Use a cutter and cut out different shapes
Arrange on a baking tray and bake until golden brown
Remove and store
5. Carmela Linguine with Clam Sauce
While we may never know the true recipes of the Sopranos household, this is certainly one dish we know Tony will approve of.

Cook time 35 minutes
Ingredient
- pack store-bought Linguine
- 1 cup dry white wine
- 2 dozen cleaned fresh littleneck clams
- cup olive oil
- 1 cup clam juice or stock
- 3 tbsp parsley
- tbsp garlic
- tsp crushed pepper flakes
Method
Cook pasta according to packet instruction
Heat oil, add garlic and pepper
Add clam, white wine, stock, and cover to cook for 6 minutes
Remove any unopened clams
Add the cooked pasta, toss to coat, sprinkle the parsley, and serve
