Titanic: Vegan Recipes for Lovers: summary, description and annotation

We offer to read an annotation, description, summary or preface (depends on what the author of the book "Titanic: Vegan Recipes for Lovers" wrote himself). If you haven't found the necessary information about the book — write in the comments, we will try to find it.

A blend of historical fact and fiction, the 1997 Titanic romantic movie is unarguably one of the best, if not the best love movie to grace our screens in the 90s.
Known as the most expensive movie ever produced at that time, with the production value worth about $200 million, this numerous awards winning film (including being The Highest Grossing Movie Of All Time before Avatar happened) left a lot of lovers dejected, broken, and traumatized for a very long time.
For lovers of romance movies, this movie gave us all a shocker of our life, for what we all hoped and prayed (we could remember some folks saying they prayed things ended well for the lovers, can you imagine that???) would end in a happy ending became a romantic nightmare that some of us can still not get over even after two decades of the movie production.
Titanic movie showcased love in a mutual, beautiful, romantic, and pure form; the kind of love that would make a sadist love, but then as most love stories end in real life, the love story between Jack Dawson and Rose DeWitt Bukater ended on a sad note.
Irrespective of the sad ending of the movie, and the fact that a Shipwreck actually happened to an actual Titanic ship in real life, we all have good reasons to ALWAYS love, cherish, and remember this American epic love movie of all times. (Frankly, there are a few recent romantic movies that we have dropped a tear or two for, but for the Titanic movie, some of us would always cry an ocean of tears each time we read or hear about it.)
The first reason why the movie about the shipwrecked love story would forever linger in our hearts is the fact that the story was set against the background of a shipwreck that took the lives of a lot of boarders on the ship.
Another reason we love the Titanic movie is our favorite characters, Jack and Rose. Who wouldnt love the sexy, wild, free as a bird, charming, romantic Jack, the self-acclaimed King of The World?
And we definitely cant stop crushing on and loving the delectable and strong-willed Rose either!!!
Another inspiring reason why the Titanic is one of our highly rated movie of all time is the theme song of the movie which is Celine Dions MY Heart Will Go On.
You can call us vain but really, that song did a number on us. Till now, the song still takes our breath away, and open the floodgates of tears from our eyes.
And these and many more are the reasons we have put together a vegan Titanic-themed Cookbook, to serve as a remembrance for those who have seen the movies, and a motivation for the young ones who havent watched this epic movie to do so immediately.

Centering on the themes of true love loss loyalty differences in social - photo 6

Centering on the themes of true love, loss, loyalty, differences in social classes, and death as a leveler; the Titanic movie set in the year 1912 but produced in 1997 tells the story of how two strangers from different sides of the "tracks" met on a ship heading to New York, fell in love, and died in love in the midst of a wrecking ship and other controversies.

The strangers being Jack Dawson and Rose DeWitt Bukater met and fell in love under unsavory circumstances.

The movie started with how Brock Lovett and his team of treasure hunters got on the Keldysh, on a quest to find the Heart of the Ocean diamond necklace among the remains of the wrecked Titanic ship.

On getting there, all they found was a nude portrait of a young woman sporting the diamond necklace.

Not long after, an old woman of about 100 years old who after watching a TV program where Brock talked about what he found, came out and verified that she was the woman in the portrait.

She was brought aboard the Keldysh where she told the tale of what happened on the Titanic.

Her tale now takes the viewers back to the year 1912 when the Titanic set sail on the Atlantic Ocean towards New York.

The ship had diverse kinds of boarders on board which include Rose, a beautiful and unconventional young lady who has been espoused to get married to the rude, arrogant, domineering, and cocky rich Cal Hockley, by her mother as a way of leveling up in the society.

While bemoaning her fate and contemplating suicide, Rose met Jack, a homeless, carefree, and poor artist (who won a trip on the Titanic at a poker game) who not only saved her from falling off the edge of the ship's stern but also saved her from getting married to a nightmare of a husband.

The duo kicked off a friendship that led to her asking him to draw her like one of his French girls (to draw her naked with nothing on than Cal's engagement present to her - The Heart of the Ocean diamond necklace).

The latter obliged and that led to a blossoming and beautiful love affair between the duo, not the forget the steaming lovemaking session in the cargo hold.

Cal caught wind of the affair and then accuses Jack of stealing the necklace (which Rose had returned to his safe by now alongside a scornful and offensive letter).

Jack was searched and unfortunately, the necklace was found in his pocket, a ploy orchestrated by Cal and his bodyguard, Lovejoy.

Jack was arrested and handcuffed to a pipe in the master-at-the-arms' office. At this point, the ship has hit the iceberg, and things were already going wrong on the ship, water entering into the ship from the cracks from the hit.

The next couple of events showed the boarders trying to get off the sinking ship. While some people like Cal succeeded through the aid of lifeboats, Jack and Rose couldn't make it, and we see them trying to stay alive and dry after the ship broke finally, with Rose on a plank of wood (a door actually) on the surface of the water and Jack submerged up to his shoulders in the chilly ocean.

At the painful end, Jack died from the coldness of the water after which Rose and other survivors were saved by the RMS Carpathia.

Rose got to New York and took Jack's last name as her last name.

We are now taken back to the beginning where we see the 100-year-old Rose throw the necklace into the sea and died a peaceful death in bed surrounded by pictures of her life.

After which she was reunited with Jack in the afterlife...

Hope you enjoyed this summary of your favorite love movie, and we hoped it brought back memories and maybe a couple of tears from your eyes.

Don't be shy if it made you cry, we do each time we remember the scene where Rose lets go of Jack's hands, and he went straight down into the ocean.

It was such a heart wrenching sight.

Anyway, you need to dry your eyes (we are drying ours too), as we get started on our vegan Titanic-themed Cookbook!!!
