Every day in my medical practice I confront obesity and its related complications. In fact these may be the biggest issues I face as a physician, for they can reach far beyond the waistline. Even mild obesity can cause imbalances in our bodies leading to high triglyceride counts, out of control cholesterol, insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, and heart disease.
